Well, there is free speech, the English Bill of Rights came BEFORE the US Bill of Rights.
However like with all rights, none of them are absolute.
Right to free speech vs. Libel and Treason laws.
The Right to own arms vs. not being able to own nukes, or criminals having guns in prison and the like.
Because an old man quoting the Bible is certainly a threat to the Crown. What do they quote in the Church of England, MAD Magazine?
Nothing to do with a threat to the crown.
Pastor John Sherwood was arrested last month in West London after complaints about allegedly homophobic comments he made during a sermon on marriage.

"Christian pastor arrested for making 'homophobic statements'"
Well, you can see that even the right wing UK press said he made "homophobic statements".
You can think what you like, but you can't go into the streets and start preaching hatred.
That's not freedom of speech.
