Poleece stops, it's all about attitude.

It's not her "place" to try and re educate a Leo in civil law and try and intimidate him with her position and talk down to him. Or anyone. Her place is to listen, answer questions and obey lawful commands and then ask him her own questions. That is 'our" place. You know, the police aren't the only ones that can deescalate a situation, but they have to maintain control for everyone's safety.

I don’t understand hth people argue with cops in the first place. Whatever happened to respect for authority? Civil behavior?
Bad cops. Bad and dumb cops. Some are halfway to Idiocracy right now.

I think that STOP means stop. And I think that if you do not come to a complete stop at the STOP sign, you've broken a traffic law which, in many cases, often results in endangering other law abiding motor vehicle operators.

I'm not really interested in indulging in your race based dialogue. I find no value in it unless someone was proven to be shaken down purely on the basis of his or her race.

Oh, please. Most reasonable people would say slowing at a stop sign when there's no other traffic isn't a big deal.

This cop quickly escalated the situation when he should have de-escalated it.

Joe, the law is there for the cop's benefit not yours.

Comply and stop.

How do you know the cop would have given a black person a ticket? You are really good at imagining scenarios that support your prejudices.

Heck, if it were a black person, he'd have probably used that as a pretext to search the car.

Remember when they released that video of when the police stopped Ahmaud Arbery , who wasn't doing anything but hanging out in a park. The cop kept trying to search his car, without probable cause, and he stood up for his rights. The cop's sensible response was to try to use a taser on him, which malfunctioned comically.

She should mind her tone and know her place.

And what is "her place," exactly? He's a beat cop, and she's a state senator. Maybe he should know HIS place.

Oh, wait, I think we know what you REALLY mean.

Check your Privilege, Lisa.

Hey. fuckwad, I find it amusing that your tagline is

In an abusive relationship with the US government

But you think this kind of government abuse is fine when it's done to black people.

Because I guess they need to know, "their place".

Bad cops. Bad and dumb cops. Some are halfway to Idiocracy right now.
I didn’t see the cop who stopped the woman being a bad cop. He was respectful and she was belligerent.

Save your argument for Court.

Um, what I saw was a cop who pulled a black person over for a petty offense and quickly escalated the situation by putting her in handcuffs in front of her husband.

But mileage may vary.

You get the respect that you show.

You get the respect that you deserve... your statement is hypocritical. You whine about how the government is mistreating you, but when you see the government mistreating a black woman, you are oh, so, fine with it.

Check your Privilege, Lisa.
Privilege is not what makes me polite to cops. It’s respecting authority.

What’s “privilege” about only being stopped twice - and for minor infractions at that? I obey laws.

Or the cops watched you pass by when you were marginally breaking them without knowing and said, "Well, that's a middle-aged Jewish lady".

MEANWHILE, they pull over black people on pretextual stops and then tase them when they don't consent to searches of their vehicles.

Check your privilege.

I suspect that if they were pulling you over all the time for bullshit, you wouldn't be so polite. You'd be whining in a loud, shrill voice.

You get the respect that you show.
If a cop told you to drop and suck, I expect you would.
Privilege is not what makes me polite to cops. It’s respecting authority.
It should also be the very real fear that some cops will HAPPILY torture, kidnap, or MURDER you purely because they want to and you looked at them funny.
