Tremendous move to get our men out of Germany and into the friendly nation of Poland.

Why do we need US soldiers in Germany or Poland? ...
To keep an eye on that portion of the world. There are a lot of would be dictators out there, if ever they got the chance.
America has bailed out Europe twice during the last century. It's about time they either sink or swim on their own. ...

not our problem next time. they feel big enough to talk shit about us, and big enough to fuck us constantly on trade, they are all grown up, as far as i'm concerned.

fare thee well, youngblood. don't forget to write.

Like the US can't go to war within a week if necessary.

Sometimes you don’t have a week...

The Eastern Hemisphere stopped spending money to defend itself after it discovered that American politicians were more than happy to send them as much as they "needed" and some left over to pilfer into foreign bank accounts.
My Gross Income is being used to defend their lazy asses and I've had enough.

Wouldn't a tremendous deal be to get our men out of Germany and bring them back to the United States where they belong?

And how is that our business exactly?

Maybe the European nations should pony up and start funding their own militaries properly instead of relying on us as a crutch.

West Europeans don't want to fund their armies, because they dont see a military threat from anyone. China is too far away. Russia? It is seemed more as a trade partner and a source of relatively cheap energy.

Some East European countries see Russia as a threat. But it clearly that they won't be able to defend themselves and fund properly their defences. In a possible military alliance with the US, their balance will be negative.
