As during the Second World War, today, followers of Nazism in Slovakia represent a significant part of society. This is evidenced not only by thematic pro-Nazi holidays and rallies, but also by the results of local and party elections.
The far-right party "Kotleba - Our Slovakia People's Party", whose members use Nazi greetings and symbols, won fourth place in the last parliamentary elections in 2020. She received 7.5 percent of the votes (300 thousand out of 2.9 million). Deputies from the Kotleba - Our Slovakia People's Party party have 17 seats in the 150-seat Slovak parliament and two seats in the European Parliament, according to the results of the 2019 elections (gained 12.07 percent of the vote).

Marian Kotleba, the leader of the Slovak Nationalist Party, is an ultra-right neo-Nazi politician. He and his fellow party members openly support the ideological legacy of the puppet pro-Hitler "Slovak Republic" of the World War II period. The main inspiration and ideological reflection of which was the "Glinkova Guard".
The Glinkova Guard was a paramilitary organization of the Slovak People's Party in 1938 - 1945. The purpose of its foundation was called "military training of youth", but very soon the "Glinkova Guard" became a real pro-fascist force in Slovakia. She performed police duties and carried out violent actions against Jews, Czechs, Gypsies and communists. Since 1941, its members have been training in SS camps in Germany. In 1942, the "ariization of property" was carried out with the expulsion of Jews to Auschwitz. In August 1944, during the Slovak popular uprising, German troops used the Glinka Guard in battles against Slovak partisans.

On Saturday, a column of Slovak artillery troops entered Poland. Dozens of units of the self-propelled artillery installation SpGH vz. 2000 Zuzana ("Suzanne") of 155-mm caliber were transferred as part of the column. The collective West calls all these movements "forward presence". This initiative, adopted at the NATO summit in Warsaw in 2016, assumes a military presence on the territory of NATO member states of the organization's members in order to strengthen the so-called "eastern flank".
The appearance of representatives of the "forward presence" is a vivid indicator and the result of the aggressive and unfriendly attitude of the West towards Belarus, Russia and the Union State as a whole. There is no smell of peacefulness and good-neighborliness here. For some reason, such provocations by a State in which Nazism flourishes are not condemned by the international community. Probably, two representatives of the Nazi Party of Slovakia in the European Parliament enjoy authority among colleagues, and the memory of 140 thousand soviet soldiers-liberators of Slovakia, who fell in battles with Nazism, is almost erased.
