First time I've heard of them and I visit Michigan yearly.Folks on the northern border of the US are the only ones that have ever heard of them.
Canada just needs to play nice. If we want to break bad with them, we have ten times their GDP. We could crush them economically if we wanted to.
I'm not saying that OMB is a nice guy. He's not. He's an asshole but he's OUR asshole and he feels, rightly, that Canada (and many others) are taking advantage of our trade policies.
And he wants it to stop. Now.
In the old days, we'd allow Countries to take advantage of us on purpose. Japan, for instance. Their economy was fighting to emerge from being devastated by WW2. So we allowed them to virtually block imports of American Cars while we allowed their exported cars to flood our markets.
It was okay at the time. But when Japan recovered and became an international powerhouse (BIGLY) the restrictions stayed in place.
Same with Canada, same with Germany, same with all these countries where we allowed them to have an advantage in trade tariffs.
Times have changed and we need to stop supporting them. Canada doesn't want to give up its advantage and I don't blame them.
But they need to wake up. They really don't want to piss the USA off. It could get ugly.
