March 20, 1933 - Dachau Opens -Heinrich Himmler, SS leader and chief of the Munich police, announces the opening of the Dachau concentration camp. The camp is located about 10 miles northwest of Munich in southern Germany. Dachau is one of the first concentration camps the Nazis establish. The first prisoners arrive two days later. They are mainly Communists and Socialists and other political opponents of the Nazi party. Dachau is the only camp to remain in operation from 1933 until 1945.

Had the court rule 9-0 I might agree with your point of view. That it did not, does not convince me that the five who voted to invalidate an effort by The Congress to correct a problem did so for non partisan and noble reasons.
I'm mindful of he fact that the nine members of the Supreme Court are the only judges / Justices serving our nations courts to not have signed a code of ethics. And therefore any conflict of interests, covert or overt, is not open to an investigation. I speak specifically to the association of Scalia with Cheney and the Koch Brothers, and to Thomas with the Koch Brothers and his wife's association with arch conservatives.

The funds that belonged to the trade unions – effectively this was workers money – were confiscated. However, Hitler had to be careful. He had only been in power for a few months and there were many members of the working class he had to deal with. If the working class movement in Germany organised itself, it would have presented the new Chancellor with a lot of major issues that would have to be dealt with. Removing trade union leaders helped this but it did not fully guarantee that the working class would ‘behave’ itself. Hitler had to offer the workers something more. Hitler announced that the German Labour Force, headed by Robert Ley, would replace all trade unions and would look after the working class. The title was chosen carefully. The new organisation was deliberately cloaked in patriotism, as it was now a German entity as was seen in its title. The working class was now a ‘labour force’. The Nazi Party did all that it could to ensure the workers felt that they were better off under the guidance of the Nazi Party via the German Labour Front.'
