Pluto has a thin, tenuous atmosphere that expands when it comes closer to the Sun and collapses as it moves farther away – similar to a comet. The main constituent is molecular nitrogen, though molecules of methane and carbon monoxide have also been detected.
When Pluto is close to the Sun, its surface ices sublimate (changing directly from solid to gas) and rise to temporarily form a thin atmosphere. Pluto's low gravity (about 6% of Earth's) causes the atmosphere to be much more extended in altitude than our planet's atmosphere. Pluto becomes much colder during the part of each year when it is traveling far away from the Sun. During this time, the bulk of the planet's atmosphere may freeze and fall as snow to the surface

An atmosphere is different. It is "force constrained." So that equation doesn't quite hold for it.

Add heat to an atmosphere, it expands out a bit, causing a microscopic loss of gravitational force on the gas molecules that move higher. We have yet to find a "study" on that, what heating an atmosphere does to surface air pressure, but the thought here is that it does, just not quite linearly as your equation suggest, more of a 0.8 correlation would be a guess. Same thing for adding gas molecules to an atmosphere.
 
So much for planning my summer vacation there, next year.


Whenever someone says "its not clean because you did not use soap" I ask that person if the nitrogen polar ice caps on Pluto are clean, because we can see through them from space, but they were never washed with soap either...

The average surface temperature of Pluto is about -232C. At that temperature nitrogen, methane and carbon monoxide are solids. The only common gases that aren't frozen at that temperature are neon, hydrogen and helium. Using atmospheric pressure on Pluto to make a point about atmospheric pressure on Earth is even dumber than your usual idiocy.

Unless you're claiming Earth's surface air pressure is dropping because our temperature is dropping below the freezing point of our atmosphere? Is that your claim?

I've posted several links explaining that a warmer atmosphere on Earth results in lower surface air pressure on Earth.

You can't find any that show a cooler atmosphere on Earth results in lower surface air pressure on Earth.
