Whenever a media darling gets an endorsement it is reported like the word just came down from on high. The truth is that one endorsement out of a thousand might have a minimal influence on the way a few conservatives vote. Sarah Palin endorsed Donald Trump and did herself more harm than the help Trump received. Now, compare Sarah’s plug for Trump to Phyllis Schlafly pulling the plug on Marco Rubio before you decide which one means more:
“When Marco Rubio ran for the Senate in Florida, I think I was the first one to endorse him,” said Phyllis Schlafly. “I made a trip down to Florida in 2009 just for the purpose of helping him.”

“Once he got elected, he betrayed us all,” she told WND. “He said he was against amnesty and against the establishment. And once he got in, right away, he became an agent of the establishment. And now, of course, he’s big for amnesty and letting all the illegal immigrants in. He betrayed us a number of times on that issue.”
XXXXX
“He’s a lackey for the establishment now,” she said. “There’s no question they’re picking up as Plan B – or maybe Plan C in this election cycle, or whatever we’re on now – but he certainly is an establishment agent.”
XXXXX
Rubio was also identified by Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., as the person designated to “neutralize” and “proselytize” conservative opposition.
XXXXX
“Immigration right now is the biggest issue. All you need to do is look at Europe, and you can see that,” she said. “But there are other issues like trade where Rubio has aligned with the establishment against the American worker.”
XXXXX
"Trade is a big issue," Schlafly argued. "The whole thing with how they are pushing these trade agreements and mass immigration is a cheat and a lie to the American people. And Rubio has joined the group that is pushing it."
Schlafly also criticized Rubio's foreign-policy credentials, as early in his term of office the freshman Florida senator enthusiastically backed President Obama’s campaign to remove the regime of Moammar Gadhafi in Libya.
XXXXX
She criticized Rubio as just the latest front man for the "kingmakers" she has denounced her entire career.
XXXXX
She dismissed any hopes Rubio could redeem himself to conservatives.
"As soon as he got in there, he betrayed us all," she reiterated. "Don't make it look like I'm supporting him now."

Schlafly unloads on Rubio: ‘He betrayed us all’
Rubio fooled Phyllis and a lot of others before he got in. As you can see, it did not take Phyllis long to see her mistake. As for me, I distrusted Marco Rubio when he was being touted as Mitt Romney’s running mate. Rubio fronting for The Gang of Eight later on only reaffirmed what I knew all along.
As I’ve said for years, conservatives cannot elect a Republican wannabe —— YET —— but they can defeat one. Right now establishment Republicans are betting they will beat the Democrat in a boat race. Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton or even Mighty Joe Biden gave establishment Republicans so much confidence they can win without the conservative vote. Clearly, 2008 and 2012 taught them nothing. They seem to forget that Taqiyya the Liar in 2008 was a bigger pushover than Hillary Clinton. He was a bigger pushover in 2012 with the ACA in his pocket. The only pushover I can see is nominating Marco Rubio. He is a surefire way to go down the same path traveled by Bob Dole, John McCain, and Mitt Romney.
Finally, Hillary Clinton & Company saying they fear Rubio the most is called a rope-a-dope endorsement:
What is so unnerving to them at this early phase of the 2016 presidential campaign still seems, at worst, a distant danger: the prospect of a head-to-head general-election contest between Mr. Rubio, the Republican senator from Florida, and Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Yet the worriers include some on Mrs. Clinton’s team. And even former President Bill Clinton is said to worry that Mr. Rubio could become the Republican nominee, whittle away at Mrs. Clinton’s support from Hispanics and jeopardize her chances of carrying Florida’s vital 29 electoral votes.
