You may actually have a point. I started a new primary care doctor a few weeks ago and he told me I needed to reduce my protein consumption to prevent damage to my kidneys. A few days later, I told this to my transplant specialist who told me in quite polite terms that my PCP was full of shit. He said my transplant medications cause me to shed protein and that was the one thing I needed and to ignore his recommendations because he was not familiar with my overall condition and the fact that my kidneys were shedding protein because of those medications, not that they were in excess.
