As far as not knowing what the future is, you are correct! Isn't that why doing things intelligently, using common sense, getting the opinion of others with knowledge and looking for compromise (instead of looking to bully others) the right way to insure that the future will be better and not worse.

Using a simple example, isn't eating healthy foods better for the body than eating high sugar, high carbohydrate, and prepared foods more LIKELY to keep your health better for the FUTURE?

Actually, minimum wage increases haven't kept up with inflation. But that aside, minimum wage increases add to the buying power of low wage earners where as trump's tariffs erode everyone's buying power. See the difference?
