THE PROGRAM WAS ALREADY IN PLACE!
That is correct, but not a penny was given to Solyndra by Bush.
When Obama got the federal stimulus bill passed and expanded Title XVII by adding Section 1705, Solyndra was awarded the millions of dollars.
I realize it is difficult for the brain impaired to comprehend this, but get someone with more than three brain cells to explain it to you.
But Bush would have but ran out of time. I never said Bush gave them money you stupid shit.
If you had a ******* brain, you would know that the Obama program provided loan backing for companies that had trouble finding private money because their plans had risk. Solyndra had an innovative solar collector design that was not silicone based. Silicon prices were climbing & this made Solyndra's collectors not only more efficient but more competitively priced. Later silicon prices dropped & China producers slashed pricing dooming Solyndra.
But you ******* idiots keep bringing up Solyndra like it was some Obama thought up boondoggle forgetting Bush wanted Solyndra to get that funding.
I guess you ***** about money spent on research if that research is not successful.
You people just plain suck dick. If Bush wanted it, it was OK. When Obama wanted it you thrash & whine & stomp your feet like a sniveling brat writhing on the floor in the toy aisle at Walmart.
Grow the **** up.
Here are some actual facts for you to get someone to explain to you:
“The Solyndra controversy was elevated to a scandal when it was revealed that Office of Management and Budget officials felt pressured to approve the loan, despite an awareness of Solyndra's financial instability.
ABC News reported, "The deal later came under scrutiny from independent government watch dogs and members of Congress, which said the administration had bypassed key taxpayer protections in a rush to approve the funds — claims the administration has denied."
Reporter Chris Good from The Atlantic wrote, "If White House officials handled taxpayer dollars irresponsibly for the sake of promoting Obama's signature piece of legislation at the time, it would constitute a potential ethical lapse that resonates with criticisms against the stimulus and ballooning deficits."
Questions about potential political motivations behind the special treatment of the Solyndra loan further fueled the green energy scandal.
The Week reported,
"The family foundation of billionaire George Kaiser, an Obama fundraiser, is one of Solyndra's big investors. The GOP says that Team Obama interfered to speed up the loan approval, cutting short due diligence so that Vice President Joe Biden could announce the loan at the Sept. 4, 2009, groundbreaking of a new Solyndra factory being financed by that government cash."
And here is a fact check on the bullshit you are posting:
Obama referred to Solyndra’s loan at an
Oct. 6 press conference as “a loan guarantee program that predates me.”
That’s not accurate. It’s true that the Energy Policy Act of 2005 created a loan guarantee program for clean-energy companies developing “innovative technologies.” But Solyndra’s loan guarantee came under another program created by the president’s 2009 stimulus for companies developing “commercially available technologies.”
The president also overstated past Republican support for the program, saying “all of them in the past have been supportive of this loan guarantee program.” Republicans overwhelmingly opposed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, and some of them even voted against the Energy Policy Act of 2005 at a time when Republicans controlled both houses of Congress.
