Keep a watch on mommy pig. Friend of mine had one, and some neighborhood dogs got loose and were surrounding her scaring her..so she began to eat her piglets. She and I got there in time to save two.

I'm glad that you were able to save them, but that's really sad about the piglets.

Not experienced in pigs, but my friend said when the mother is threatened, she eats her babies to "protect" them? Sad, yes. But the two we saved got HUGE.
