In this presentation of Persevering prayer - there are three prayers that I would like to share with the readers. The first prayer ( which was a declaration of Faith in God ) was from Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego found in Daniel 3:17, 18 which was declared before both God and King Nebuchadnezzar, the second prayer was given as a parable Jesus taught which told us about the woman who cried out, "Avenge me of my adversary!" before an unjust judge. The third prayer was the prayer of Queen Esther who was pleading for the lives of her people - the Jews - before God and her King and husband ( he didn't know God) . In all three cases these Kings and judges did not serve God. Yet the prayers and petitions of God's people prevailed with both God and man. To God be the Glory!

We can begin with the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego who were being targeted by crafty men who had accused the Jews and petitioned King Nebachadnezzar to fulfill his decree of death upon all those who refused to bow down to the false idol he had erected. These evil men had plotted to remove Shadach, Meshach and Abednego by demanding the King force these three Hebrews to abide by the decree he had established - to order them to bow down to the false god they were bowing down to. The story is found in Daniel 3: 1 - 30.

This is the first presentation and the story of Meshach, Shadrach and Abednigo.

These are the words of King Nebuchadnezzar to Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo and their reply....

It is written:

Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednigo. Then they brought these men before the king. Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, It is true, O Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and ducimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made, well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace, and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

- Daniel 3: 13 - 18

By this public declaration the LORD was pleased and the LORD appeared in the fire as the fourth man with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo.

It is written:

Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Therefore, because the kings commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said, True, O King.

He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in midst of the fire, and they have no hurt, and the form of the fourth man is like the Son of God.

Then Nebuchadnezzar came near the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednigo, came forth out of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair on their head singed, neither were there coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

- Daniel 3: 21 - 27

And finally it is written:

Therefore I make a decree,
That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednigo, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednigo, in the province of Babylon.

- Daniel 3: 28 - 30

Next example of Persevering Prayer and petitions with God and with man.

- Parable of the Woman and the Judge -

It is written:

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray and to not faint:
Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city, and she came unto him, saying,

AVENGE ME OF MINE AVERSARY.

And he would not for awhile, but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man: Yet this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the LORD said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily, Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

- Luke 18: 1 - 8

The third example of prayer that persevered with God and with a king.

The Story of "Queen Esther".

Let's go to scripture now and examine this evil man, Haman, who sought the destruction of the Jews. But first, a quick review of Mordecai, the Jew, and let us remember that Haman did not know that Queen Esther was a Jew! Nor did Haman know that Modecai was related to her!

It is written:

In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's gate, two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.

And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen: and Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai's name. And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out, therefore, they were both hanged on a tree, and it was written in the book of chronicles before the king.

Esther 2: 21 - 23

Haman is promoted -

It is written: After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agaggite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him. And all the king's servants, that were in the king's gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did he reverence him.

Then the king's servants, which were in the king's gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgresseth thou the king's commandment?

Now it came to pass, when they spake daily unto him, and he hearkened not unto them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai's matters would stand: for he had told them that he was a Jew.

And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then Haman was full of wrath. And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone, for they had shewed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai. - Esther 3: 1 - 6

I would like you to ask yourselves this question:

Is there anything more bitter than for an anti semite who despises the Jews to be the judge over the Jews and to be even demanding they reverence him and pay him respect?!

The nerve of this Haman! To dare to be angry about this Jewish man, Mordecai not bowing down to him and reverencing him when all the while he is preparing to devise a murderous plot in his heart against Mordecai and his people! Watch what happens next!

Here comes the presentation of Haman's evil plot against the Jews. Remember that Haman is on the king's staff and he has access to the king! In this matter he counsels the king. Listen to this!

It is written:

In the first month, that is, the month of Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month of Adar.

And Haman said unto the king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom, and their laws are diverse from all people, neither keep they the king's laws: therefore it is not for the king's profit to suffer them.

If it please the king, let it be in writing that they may be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver into the hands of those that have the charge of business, to bring it into the king's treasuries.

And the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it unto Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agaggite, the Jew's enemy.

And the king said unto Haman, The silver is given to thee, the people also, to do with them as it seemeth good to thee.

-Esther 3: 7 - 11

What happened? The king did not know that this man who he had appointed to his court - this man, Haman, was an evil man and was giving him bad counsel. That is what happened. The good news is that when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD will raise up a standard against him. We'll now go to the publication of the decree -

It is written:

Then were the king's scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king's lieutenants, and to the king's governors that were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language, in the name of king Ahasuerus was It written, and sealed with the king's ring.

And the letters were sent by posts into all the king's provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, even upon the thirteenth day of the twelfth month Adar and to take the spoil of them for a prey. The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province was published unto all people, that they should be ready against that day.

The posts went out, being hastened by the king's commandment, and the decree was given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink, but the city of Shushan was perplexed.

- Esther 3: 12 - 15

Perplexed? You can be sure they were! The decree of their death sentences had just been approved in the king's name, with the king's seal of his very own ring! Here is the king who unbeknownst to him is married to a Jewish beauty named Queen Esther! Oh my, my, my! Does God know how to write a love story or what? I tell you the truth! No one can compare to God when it comes to writing a love story! No one, I tell you! Absolutely no one!

At this point, the Jews do not know that God is going to come to their rescue. They do not know that the king is married to a Jewess. They do not know that their deliverance is coming. They are lamenting because they know the enemy has devised a plot to annihilate them. This song is in remembrance for the holocaust which another Haman accomplished because the kings of the land did not heed the counsel of the right men and women. Never again!

LAMENTATION OF THE JEWS

When Mordecai perceived that all was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and bitter cry.

And came even before the king's gate: for none might enter the king's gate clothed with sackcloth. And in every province, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing, and many lay sackcloth and ashes.

-Esther 4: 1 - 3

THE PLAN OF MORDECAI

So Esther's maids and her chamberlains came and told it her. Then was the queen exceedingly grieved, and she sent raiment to clothe Mordecai, and to take away his sackcloth from him: but he received it not.

Then called Esther for Hatach, one of the king's chamberlains, who he had appointed to attend her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it was, and why it was.

So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which was before the king's gate. And Mordecai told him all that had happened unto him, and of all the sum of money that Haman had promised to pay to the king's treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.

Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.

And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai. Again Esther spake unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai. All the king's servants and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.

And they told Mordecai Esther's words.

Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place, but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Esther 4: 4 - 14

This is the message of the hour to all of us here on this board. Some of us are just writers here, others are in authority, others are in authority over a lesser authority and ultimately some are in full control of all that is permitted and not permitted to take place in their work places, businesses, etc.( you know who you are )

There is much responsibility which comes with authority and we must realize that God is the ultimate authority and Judge over all. The Word of God says to whom much is given much is required. God sees everything and is the silent listener of every conversation. Never doubt that God does not see. That God does not hear. He does. Even if some choose to ignore it. God does not ignore anything.

If you do not judge rightly, if you call evil good and good evil and ignore the plight of the Jews who are increasingly coming under the attack of Haman's descendants today, you and your own house shall be destroyed. How do I know this? Every single bible prophecy declares the exact same thing. Those who bless Israel shall be blessed, those who curse her shall be cursed. The destruction that is warned of - which I refer to - is found in Proverbs, Joel, Zephaniah, Ezekiel, Malachi and Obadiah among other books of the bible. Please do not accuse God in order to jusify yourselves. That warning you will find from God in Job.

To be even more specific:

I am not speaking of getting into heated back and forth arguements and calling each other names on a political thread which breeds strife and anger - you cannot debate with those who will not tolerate truth and have only their own agenda to accomplish. I would abstain from anything that increases strife and animosity. The Lord desires us to be at peace with all men as much as possible. A soft answer turneth away wrath.

I am speaking of praying for the Peace of Jerusalem, making sure above all things that the Jews are treated fairly, equally and that those who are given charge over them do not have the heart of a Haman.

Haman was put over the Jews but Haman despised the Jews. Had the king realized what danger he had put himself in by appointing Haman oversight of the Jews he never would have done it. It is one thing to reverence authority and a completely different thing to reverence one whom God has not appointed over you. Mordecai was under no compulsion from God to honor Haman who was secretly plotting against him. The king was wrong but we have yet to come to the conclusion of the matter. ( it's coming )

My warfare is not with flesh and blood because the bible is clear the Christian's warfare is against Satan, against principalities and dark powers, spiritual wickedness in high places. Nevertheless, some have submitted themselves to be used of such spirits - unaware - The truth is Haman is a spirit. It is a spirit of murder, hatred, pride, deception, and cruelty. There is nothing virtuous about the spirit of Haman and there is nothing virtuous about the sons and daughters of Haman who seek to destroy the Jews today - Hamas.

Be forewarned.. the next few chapters are going to reveal what lies in store for those who continue on in the path of plotting the destruction of the Jews. What happened to Haman is the same thing that will happen to the sons and daughters of Haman in the days ahead and the judgment of the LORD God Almighty will be accomplished. Amen.

Get ready. Here comes the first feast and what a feast it is!!! But first a Psalm and a song.

Let your hearts be blessed with music while you dine in the presence of your enemies!

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. - Psalm 23; 5,6

Here is your music, Beloved.

Esther's First Feast

It is written:

Now it came to pass on the third day that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, over against the king's house: and the king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house.

And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, she obtained favor in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.

Then the king said unto her, What wilt thou, queen Esther? and what is thy request? It shall be even given thee to the half of the kingdom.

And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him. Then the king said, Cause Haman to make haste, that he may do as Esther hath said, So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther had prepared.

And the king said unto Esther at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed.

Then answered Esther, and said, My petition and my request is:

If I have found favor in the sight of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I shall prepare for them and I will do to morrow as the king hath said.

-Esther 5: 1 - 8

HAMAN PLOTS TO MURDER MORDECAI

Then went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart, but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate, that he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation for Mordecai. Nevertheless, Haman refrained himself: and when he came home, he sent and called for his friends, and Zaresh his wife.

And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.

Haman said, moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself, and to morrow am I invited unto her also with the king.

Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate. Then said Zaresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman, and he caused the gallows to be made.

-Esther 5: 9 - 14

Haman's wife was more wicked than he was! Never doubt that the spirit of Haman dwells in both men and women! Their charming speech covers 7 abominations in their heart! The Word of God reveals the truth and the truth is not all who pretend to be with you are with you! Do not be deceived! The spirit of Jezebel - ( murder ) is richly dwelling in Haman's wife. Keep in mind Jezebel was a baal worshiper and not a Jewess. Jeze - baal was the daughter of a Phoenician king who worshiped Baal.

The plot thickens! God is on the move! Ooh! I love this! Watch how the LORD moves.....mmmm.... I delight in the LORD and his ways.... He shows Himself pure with the pure and shrewd with the shrewd...... be thou glorified tonight, O God! Thy Word is lamp unto my feet.

It is written:

On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded the book of records of the chronicles, and they were read before the king. And it was found written, that Mordecai had told Bithana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hands on the king Ahasuerus.

And the king said, What honour and dignity has been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.

- Esther 6: 1 - 3

__________________________
So while Haman was plotting the murder of Mordecai, God keeps the king awake and puts it upon his heart to ask for the records of the chronicles to be read before him and there he learns of Mordecai having been the man responsible for saving his very life! Oh! How wonderfully God moved on behalf of the prayers of Queen Esther and her court! Glory to God! God answers prayer, people! I believe God is about to wake up a few kings around here! Glory! Hallelujah!

* Imagine it! The kings door men were actually plotting to murder him at a more convenient time! Yikes! You never know who is who until the LORD reveals it! Good thing the Jew, Mordecai, outed those imposters so they could be brought to justice and removed out of harm's way of the king!

*** For those who may not recall where we started **** here is the story of what Mordecai did from the beginning:

It is written:

In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's gate, two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.

And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen: and Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai's name. And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out, therefore, they were both hanged on a tree, and it was written in the book of chronicles before the king.

Did anyone notice the date today? 7/ 21 / 2014 God's number is 7. What a wonderful day to talk about the LORD answering persevering prayers! I love it! He does all things so perfectly doesn't He? I just adore Him! He is so on time with a right now Word of encouragement! Where would we be without Him?

We are about to see how Haman plans to honor himself but the king has other plans! He plans to honor Mordecai the Jew! I can hardly contain myself! This is just too much!

It is written:

And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haaman was come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him. And the king's servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in. So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to honour more than myself?

And Haman answered the king, for the man whom the king delighteth to honour, Let the royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head. And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteh to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honor.

Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king's gate: Let nothing fall of all thou hast spoken.

Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honor.

And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered. And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends everything that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zaresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him. And while they were yet talking with him, came the kings chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.

- Esther 6: 4 - 14

Is God's timing perfect or what? He is at the lowest point of his life when the King's chamberlains walk in and say, We've come for you. Esther has her banquet prepared and ready. Oh yes! The timing is absolutely divine! The banquet is ready. Here come's the second Feast. Get ready! God saved the best for last! Guess what the Chapter number is? SEVEN ( 7 ) You got it! ha! ha! I love it!

ESTHER'S SECOND FEAST

CHAPTER 7 OF THE BOOK OF ESTHER -

It is written:

So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen. And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom. Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favor in thy sight, O King, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my request:

For we are sold, I and my people to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish, But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.

Then the king Ahahasuerus answered, and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst assume in his heart to do so?

And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen. And the king rising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went to the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen: For he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.

Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine: and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was.

Then the king said, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.

And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. then the king said, hang him thereon. So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king's wrath was pacified.

Chapter 7: 1 - 10
______________________________
Thank God! The king executed the right man! Next comes Chapter 8. Now 8 is the number in the bible that signifies new beginnings. Chapter 8 begins with Mordecai being given Haman's house. Yes, the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous. How do I know this? The bible says so!

Let's break down the conclusion into little bites so we can savor the sweetness of this victory a little bit longer....

First Mordecai gets Haman's house.

It is written:

On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman, the Jews enemy, unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king, for Esther had told what he was unto her. And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai, And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman. And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agaggite, and his device that he devised against the Jews.

- Esther 8: 1 - 3

Esther's Petition to King Ahasuerus

It is written:

Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before the king. And said, If it please the king and if I have found favor in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by haman the son of Hammedatha the Aggagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king's provinces:

For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come upon my people? Or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?

- Esther 8: 4 - 6
_________________________

How genuine and sincere is the heart of Esther for her people! Truly her heart is beautiful! God grants her every petition though the petition is made to a King she had prior made request to God in fastings and prayer. Amen? Amen!
