Perhaps it's time for trump fans to make an admission.

BY BEING HELD IN CONTEMPT BY THE BRITS???
By not committing repeated criminal acts in and out of office. By not destroying the DoJ. By not overseeing the most lawless admin in history. By not profiting from his office by hundreds of millions of dollars. Etc., etc., etc.

No reasonable person describes trump being indicted and prosecuted for the crimes he committed as "hound(ing) him incessantly in court." You have to be a cult member to make that assertion.
The average disengaged voter looked at the legal gyrations the prosecutors went through to even drag TRUMP! into court over the whole thing and thought it overkill.

While ignoring the glaring evidence presented in Smith's indictments for trump's crimes against the Constitution and the nation.

That being the country is not being served by trump's attempts to vindictively prosecute his perceived enemies and those who do things he just doesn't like. More than not being served, it is harming the nation.

‘They may have broken the DOJ’: New report highlights DOJ struggling to recruit prosecutors

The intermingling of law enforcement and political goals has made the department, long a magnet for platinum legal talent, an unappealing landing spot, according to current and former officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal matters.

The number of applications is down significantly from previous years, officials said, even as Trump loyalists have publicized vacancies through official and unconventional channels. Some of those applying are generally not as qualified as those who sought the position in the recent past, they added.

A Justice Department spokesman did not respond to specific questions, but said all of the department’s actions reflected Ms. Bondi’s February 2025 memo requiring all employees to “zealously advance, protect and defend” the interests of Mr. Trump in his role as the nation’s chief executive.

Here's another real life example of wasting resources to persecute enemies.

Grand Jury Rebuffs Justice Dept. Attempt to Indict 6 Democrats in Congress

What forward thinking lawyer concerned about the reputational damage it would do decides to work for this lawless, politicized DoJ? Apparently, not many.

Here's my question to trump fans. Can you see how the gutting of experienced members of the DoJ and the inability to find replacements..................who even if they were qualified would need years of training to be competent................diminishes the DoJ's ability to protect the country from criminal behavior?
Perhaps it is long past time for people like you to admit that Trump and his policies aren't as bad as you make them out to be.

The evidence is in the voting. Millions of democrats who came out for the old white guy refused to vote for the Indian woman. The disengaged voters went for TRUMP! after seeing the prosecution attempts. You overplayed your hand.

I'm talking political reality here. No one is more adept than TRUMP! at ginning up outrage at attacks on himself. He's petty and vengeful. I said all this during his first term and now he's doing what I said he would, taking revenge.

Charlie Kirk....
I.C.E. agents wearing masks.....
take a look at the riots that happened since 2015, where, why, when, how and by whom?
The most pernicious was when Trump's goons attacking outnumbered police protecting the Capitol on January 6, 2021 after Trump lied to them about imaginary individuals stealing his imaginary landslide.
Oh yes, President Trump's ear.....
Trump's ear was shot by a registered Republican
and Elon Musk having to act like he is now a rival to Trump because the Dems would have caused him to lose TRILLIONS.... .not merely billions.... if he had continued on with DOGE.
Musk's slashing public services was very unpopular with Americans.

And 60 percent of voters disapprove of how Musk and DOGE deal with the federal workforce, while 36 percent approve.

Could you explain to me how trump being charged with the crimes he committed is overplaying a hand? Once Jack Smith completed his investigations was he supposed to ignore the evidence of trump's guilt and drop the cases?

I acknowledge that the MSM is fake news.
But you know it isn't.

The crisis has been most acute in offices targeted by the tornadic disruption of White House directives that run counter to prosecutors’ ethics and training.

Danielle Sassoon left her post as the top federal prosecutor in Manhattan after Justice Department leaders sought to pressure her office into dismissing a corruption case against Mayor Eric Adams of New York.Credit...Bing Guan for The New York Times

The problems started a month after Mr. Trump’s return to the White House, when the top federal prosecutor in Manhattan, Danielle Sassoon, left her post, along with several colleagues. The resignations were a public rebuke after Justice Department leaders sought to strong-arm them into dismissing the corruption case against Mayor Eric Adams of New York.

That same month, Denise Cheung, the chief of the criminal division in the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington, quit in protest rather than take part in what she believed to be an improper investigation of a contractor working for the Environmental Protection Agency. It was the first of many resignations in the office.

Mr. Trump’s desire for revenge has caused particular destruction in the U.S. attorney’s office in the Eastern District of Virginia, where he installed Lindsey Halligan, one of his own former defense lawyers, to prosecute two of his most prominent adversaries: Letitia James, the New York attorney general, and James B. Comey, the former F.B.I. director.

I'm saying that the bookkeeping error being transformed from a dead misdemeanor into a whole set of felonies was a big mistake. It resonated with a lot of people that the legal system was being manipulated to go after someone. Follow that up with the usual suspects screeching nonstop about felony convictions as if he said mean things about puppies or something and people said enough is enough.

Like I said, the average disengaged voter looked at it and wondered why he was supposed to hate this guy so much.

I think also the average ENGAGED voter who doesn't live their life completely within the Democrat Echo Chamber.

Not nearly as vindictive as the dems.

agreed, however not even clear that it was an error.

The bookkeeper listed a payment to an attorney as a legal expense.
