iirc, some of the LBJ white house tapes have been released recently

although they in no way amount to the Nixon debacle, they portray a potus who had certain private fobiles never revealed publicly

for instance, he apparently granted his advisors and confidants much more validity than Kennedy did, JFK being more confident

seems they steered him wrong , to where Nixon took advantage and initiative to step in
