Pence: “Congress has no right to my testimony”

an insurrection is a violent uprising against an authority or government.......the rioters in Portland were doing just that....
Not really. They had been protesting George Floyd, then the government showed up in unmarked vehicles and started snatching people off the streets.

False flag...meaning sending out instigators into a crowd to direct people to the Capital after a speech by Trump.
Some of the MAGA folks thought they might be able to see some historical stuff when Capital Police opened barriers and unlocked magnetic locks on the doors allowing a few dozen idiots to enter the Capital.
Intermingling dozens of FBI agents in the crowd to gin up the people and cause them to become unruly.
Sending ANTIFA degenerates into unguarded areas to break in....and using this as an excuse to start pepper-spraying peaceful Trump supporters causing a riot.
Shooting an unarmed female Trump supporter in hopes that it will cause an angry reaction from the demonstrators.

Fact: Nobody died during this fake insurrection except two unarmed women...one shot in cold-blood and the other kicked and beaten to death by Capital Police....yet the media reports 5 people died....which is soon proved to be a fabrication.

Yes....this was a false flag operation hatched by the Pentagon with the cooperation of Nancy Pelosi....who had a film crew following her around filming her every move for some strange reason....just so she could make herself look innocent.

Then they put up a fence surrounding the scene of the crime for several weeks until they can remove all of the evidence of the crime. The media isn't allowed to take photos of any damage during this time.
The fabrication is what you posted.

Much ado about nothing. Democrats are desperate to keep the tribunal in operation before Jan 3 when they become the minority.

Minority only in the House - not the Senate. Biden is still president - so NaziCons remain the minority. And new Special Counsel Jack Smith will liven things up at DOJ.

Glenn Kirschner issued a damning critique of the former vice president's refusal to testify before the House Jan. 6 committee.

Seven words that Mike Pence said about declining to appear before the House committee investigating the U.S. Capitol riot should prohibit the former vice president from ever holding public office again, a former federal prosecutor has argued.

In a YouTube video released Thursday, Glenn Kirschner issued a damning critique of Pence’s recent claim that “Congress has no right to my testimony” about the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection.

Kirschner, who was a prosecutor in the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington for more than two decades, said Congress has a legitimate purpose in investigating Donald Trump’s attempted overthrow of the 2020 election result,

Stop right there Dorkhota. You are guilty of endorsing the bogus “analysis” of Kirshner which presumes the very thing yet to be established. There is zero evidence of any attempt by Trump to overthrow the election.
Pence sounds un-American and uppity to me! What do you think?
He sounds completely correct. Congress has no right to his testimony.

Duh, not the DOJ one Pence will soon be seeing.
Maybe. Maybe not. But his statement was that Congress has no right to his testimony.

In the field of criminal Justice, it is a maxim that everyone is entitled to “every man’s” evidence.

Try to stick to one topic at a time, Dork. You’re too easily confused even at that.

J6 Committee has the right to subpoena Pence. If he refuses - they can petition DOJ to hold him in contempt of Congress.

Lakhota

I shouldn’t assist you in your effort to be informed and honest in your studies. But since you will unquestionably wish to be thorough in your research and scholarship — as well as honest in your presentation to support your own claim (that Congress has some unbounded right to compel a person like Hice President Pence to testify before one of its committees), I deem it only appropriate to give you the proverbial leg up.

Check out:

Trump v. Mazars USA, LLP, 591 U.S. ___ (2020)

as well as the case below and the precedents cited and the conceptual framework. You will probably also want to take a deep dive into the principle of the separation of powers. And maybe consider what happened on remand, etc.

“Let’s be clear: By extension, Mike Pence is saying, ‘The American people have no right to my relevant testimony as Congress goes about trying to craft laws to keep this from ever happening again,’” Kirshner said.

Pence sounds un-American and uppity to me! What do you think?

He thinks he has a chance at the GOP nomination. If he sits in front of the committee, he thinks he has no chance. That is the long and short of it.
