The PELOSI act was renamed the HONEST act. Pelosi supports it. Trump doesn’t.

Pelosi's husband was in two criminal situations a few years ago over a couple of years and it was muted as much as possible and of course no criminal charges and no jail time. So, she knows she can do what she wants. She even did not wear the mask and flaunted her special privileged status during Covid.

Support for the bill is pretty strong on the Dem side. All Dems voted in favor to pass out of committee.

It’s not up for a vote because of Sen leadership. Lots of Republicans, including Trump, oppose it. Rand Paul opposes it because it would exempt the current administration and apply to the next administration, which is a pretty principled take.

I can’t find any Dems on record opposing it but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’d be some.

It would be super interesting to see a full vote.
