She voted that very day for a resolution declaring "unequivocal support and appreciation to the president...for his firm leadership and decisive action." And she used her leadership position in Congress to urge others to sign on to the resolution.
Democrats will energize America by declaring energy independence, and we will begin by rolling back the billions of dollars of tax cuts for oil and energy companies in America. Rep. RANGEL: It's absolutely ridiculous to believe that we can create jobs without trade. I had the opportunity to travel to Peru recently. I saw firsthand how important this agreement is to Peru and how this agreement will strengthen an important ally of ours in that region. Peru is resisting the efforts of Venezuela's authoritarian President Hugo Chavez to wage a war of words and ideas in Latin America against the US. Congress should acknowledge the support of the people of Peru and pass this legislation by a strong margin.

I can go on and on forever with Nancy Pelosi that represents a region of the country that refused a US Navy Ship as a memorial to WW2 Vets because it reminded them of quote " Bush's Illegal war in Iraq" and with the full support of Nancy Pelosi. Now this person is imploring the soon to be new President to govern from the middle. While this is something that Nancy Pelosi is completely incapable of doing, it does have some merit in that she does recognize that one of the biggest mistakes that Bill Clinton did when he took office was to run to the left immediatly and thus in the mid term elections it cause the House to shift. I am sure Ms. Pelosi is doing this as not to have this happen, so again it does make sense. As for her ability to do so, that reamins to be seen, but if I have her last two years as Speaker to guage that on then I have my doubts based on cutting off debate on legislation, 1 hour introductions of Bills, and not allowing amendments to legislation. That is not what I would call bi-partisan. Mind, you this does not excuse the performance of the Republicans when they had control, but this let's get back at them attitude is self perpetuating and will continue if someone does step up to stop it. In the end the only people who are harmed in this are you and I.
