The Earth is purportedly running out of recoverable gold. There is actually a Goldman Sachs peak gold report by that title out there. I have not found where I could see the actual report. The teaser does give as much info as I have given but I suspect like peak oil this is a misnomer as well but I thought it would be fun to throw this out there.

the amount of gold in the world has always remained the same on a per capita basis.
With the entire Middle East in turmoil there is the possibility that gold will sky rocket.
