Israel’s regional threats are shifting fast—and the stakes have never been higher. Former Israeli diplomat and Knesset member Ruth Wasserman-Lande joins Eylon Levy to analyze the instability on Israel’s borders and the global forces reshaping the Middle East after October 7.With decades of experience in Arab affairs, diplomacy, and security, Wasserman-Lande offers unique insights into:
🔹 The shifting Middle East – Why October 7 wasn’t just an attack on Israel, but a turning point for the region.
🔹 Egypt’s military buildup – Why is Cairo violating its peace treaty with Israel? The 🔹 The rise of radical Islam – How both Sunni and Shia extremists are competing for dominance.

🔹 Lebanon & Hezbollah – Can Lebanon reclaim its sovereignty, or is Iran too deeply entrenched?

🔹 Jordan’s fragile future – Is Israel’s longest, quietest border now its most unpredictable?

🔹 The myth of peace with Palestinians – Why a two-state solution could further destabilize the region. This is a must-watch deep dive into the geopolitical challenges that will shape Israel’s security for decades to come.

There wont be a peace deal. Palestinians will be removed from Gaza (after Israel kills many more members of Hamas) and that will be the end of it. A peace deal could have been had, if they had given back the hostages. Now they just get the stick. No more sympathy for Palestinians and no more peace deals. Bombs, death and bulldozers are the only things coming to Gaza now.

When I see someone described as such I automatically want to keep them at arm's length.

If they are that great at understanding things the area would be at peace by now.

What is meant is not to see the issues through the prism of the western mind.

Nah, that sounds gay as fuck. We will instead just bomb Gaza and remove every last Palestinian from the region. :dunno:

Reliable polls of the "Palestinian" population reveal uniformly that the vast majority of such people cannot ever envision living peacefully in a "State" alongside Israel. They wish to live in a State governed by Sharia law, and they "demand" the infamous "right of return." All are deal-breakers.

Further, it is not possible to separate the young "Palestinian" terrorists from the so-called, "innocent civilians." They must all be deemed and treated as terrorists, as they have been raised continually to aspire to die as martyrs for the Palestinian cause.

This may all become moot, as Egypt is preparing for a regional war against the Zionist State, and I'm not sure even Donald Trump has an answer for that event. The U.S. has no vital interests at stake in that part of the world.

It isn’t as simple as that.

It goes much wider, and further.

While you’re busy looking in one direction, malevolence creeps up on you from another.

We will just bomb the shit out of that malevolence too when it creeps up on us. :dunno:
