Kudos to the American Manufacturing machine! The supply chain has taken the biggest hit ever in the past fifty years and did not fail and yes I realize that might mean some of the replacement stuff came from the chinks. True a few people might have had to use bounty paper towels for private bathroom maters for a few weeks but the TP is back and probably back to stay along with a number of other familiars like Ramen noodles and Clorox bleach.....lol.

Now I remember distinctly on the first day of the Panic in Massachusetts going to the Local Wholesale club, BJ"s is popular here....I knew immediately something was wrong because this particular club has one of the largest commercial parking lots in the state and it was filled to the edges...never saw that before. I found a space within reasonable walking distance but was confronted by a number of people leaving the place being told not to bother going in because there were fights inside, police arresting people and bare shelves! Wow! Come to think of it there were wall to wall people on top of each other like in a soccer stampede and that probably did a lot to spread the sickness here in Massachusetts.

Next day I decided to try the Walmart super center...another really big place. It didn't look too bad from the highway and when I got into the lot it seemed just a little busier than normal....but I was wrong. As I grabbed a card and started toward the entrance I noticed a river of people gathering around me and we were picking up speed just to keep from bumped from behind.... as we got closer to the door the speed of the crowd picked up with the bottle neck effect and carriages were grinding against each other as the look of panic on the shoppers faces grew more intense. This was a real stampede with older folks being muscled off to the side along with smaller people and handicapped....it was just disgusting. Once inside it was evident that people had lost their minds...most of the shelves were empty and people were attacking the stock personnel who were bringing out product on skids from the back. It was surreal to be sure.

If the chinese were watching and I'm sure they were...what did they learn about America? Nothing too god I'm afraid. What they learned is that our new motto is every man for himself in a crisis.....that is truly disheartening to see.

/——/ No, it’s not every man for himself. It means we’re accustomed to providing for ourselves and having a steady supply of goods readily available. When something happens people rush to get what they need overwhelming first the store, then the supply chain. In the near future people will adjust how much to keep on hand, and eventually go back to the old way.

Wait until society learns to obey and starts to snitch on each other. It's already being done and starting in CA. of course where else.

I want to agree with you but what I just observed seems to argue with it.
I watched a diminutive Asian woman get pushed back up against the wall again and again by the train of remorseless carriage hounds until I stopped ( I'm a 300 pounder ) and let her into the line...and trust me I had a carriage up my ass while I was doing it....

Yep...I love capitalism.......if we were a socialist country we wouldn't have had toilet paper before the virus hit.....and would be eating our pets during the virus...

Went to Walmart today at 2 p.m........they actually had lots of toilet paper.....

You'll know it's psychologically over when you see shit paper on the shelves. If it were up to me, America would be going back to work next week. Lets get busy again. This lockdown shit is crazy
