Abbas has a long history of dirty dealing. So much so that 85% of Palestinians want him to leave.

The Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate in a statement slammed the PA, calling the blocks “a clear violation of the basic law [in Palestine] and all media laws.”

The PA has denied that the websites were blocked as a political move, but Zayegh insisted that the motivations for blocking the websites were obviously an attempt to silence criticism.

Some time back I either created a thread or commented in one that the news that the rank and file Palestinian received was severely restricted. Thank you for providing some substantiation.

You and I see different paths to peace in that small sliver of the world, and as far as your conspiracy thinking that Abbas is actually working for the Israelis, well. . . .

However, I agree that Abbas and other Palestinian leaders do not really have the welfare of the rank and file in mind at all. Abbas is a cull with his two faced bullshit. One face will tell the Pope and the rest of the world that he wants peace for the Palestinians while his other face rattles the sabre and incites violence among the Palestinians against Israel. With his heavily controlled PA media of course.
