"unfortunately, it was paradise"

That title is from a book of poems by Mahmoud Darwish,
but when I see old photos of Palestine before Zionism, I am always reminded of it.

This is no neglected wilderness:

Tinmore and amity, I don't think anyone ever said that the land had no people.

Amity, nice video. Hearkens back to the days when all the peoples in that region could live side by side in peace before folks started getting mad. I recognize some of the streets in Jerusalem, however it is good that the Israelis put in some infrastructure to at the very least level the streets in the Old City much better than in some of those pictures.

But it lost me when it got to the Nakba parts. I am still struggling about that. I blame both sides for the 'Palestinian diaspora'. However, that was way back then. The fact remains now that back then the Arabs started a war to destroy and push the Jews/Israelites into the sea. Israel won the war(s), yes plural since they have been attacked more and won them all. Now lets try to win the peace.

Yes, I think it was Herzl who deceived Jews and the world by coining the slogan "A people without a land for a land without people."

And it looks to me like there was infrastructure up to the expected level for the time each picture was made. I think it would have been better if any further development had been accomplished by Palestinians without any "population exchange." They were doing quite well, considering they never had a minute's self-determination.

That's not true!

Arab armies went in to preserve the inalienable rights of the indigenous, non-Jewish population, that was systematically being stripped from them by Jewish terrorist groups like Irgun.

Sure; like they've always done.
I bet you think Jews are masquerading right now as Sunis mass murdering the Shiites in Iraq.
You betcha!

Personally, I hadn't heard, but that is because I don't visit the middle east forum, where that issue would properly be discussed.

What ever happens in Iraq, the Palestinians are not accountable.

Just tell your friends to behave themselves so that eventually they can have their own country. Of course their country is not going to include Israel as much as you are hoping for that.

Nice try, but not nearly good enough when 1 out of every 3 Moslems is willing to commit murder for the honor of Allah-Ahk-Bar; and that obviously includes murdering each other.
If you think what goes on throughout the world doesn't influence the West Bank Jordanians then you got a lot to learn.

I don't know about that, but 3 out of 3 Zionists are assholes.

******* Miron,

The JEWISH STATE exists and always will. " Palestine" never existed and never will. It's a territory, Not a Country.

Newsflash, amity, the Arabs were selling land to the Zionists. They had no more rights to the land once they sold it! Therefore, you can blame them for their plights. Also, get mad at the British, and then read the Balfour Declaration. Zionists didn't create that.

That is a common misperception. A UN Security Council resolution called for an armistice ending the fighting in the 1948 war.

Nobody won or lost that war.

A land without people.

Big lie.

Well then, why did Mark Twain find an empty wasteland there, when he visited in the 1800's? The Arabs from surrounding countries immigrated to what was then known as Palestine, at the same time that the Jews did. This fact was also confirmed by Winston Churchill. They are not the indigenous people of that land.

I know you camel fuckers think that Europe, Latin America, Asia, Russia and the US is behind you. But the need for your black crack is going to down. Soon you won't be able to hold that over out heads.

EUROPE:There is a wake up going on in Europe and they are seeing you camel fuckers for what you really are - invaders. When the clash of culture turns to war, so will sentiment!

LATIN AMERICA:The fast growing religion in Latin America is Evangelical Christianity, but 2050 they could be the majority. Evangelicals are the BIGGEST supporters of Israel, a ton more than dispora Jews or even liberal Jews in Israel.

Catholic San Francisco

ASIA:China admires the Jews, while they fight against yet another Muslim terrorist separatist movement. India has great relationships with Israel while having to deal with a belligerent Muslim separatist population, scumbag Muslim terrorist regimes in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Russia: Mother Russia took the right side in the Serbia fight and they are dealing with Muslim terrorists at all corners of their country. They rightfully hate Muslims.

Canada and Australia: Both countries have always had great relations with Israel and it's only growing. They also have terrorist Muslims in their country causing havoc. The people see this much better than their governments.

You are nearly illiterate, FOA, and have no idea what you are talking about.

Please divert some of your energy into research and come back with something that
a) makes sense and
b) relates to Israel/Palestine, the topic of this forum,

...or go elsewhere like to the middle east forum, or the asia forum.

I believe you are calling a lawyer illiterate. At least he is not a spokeswoman for Hamas.

in spite of everything we have shown you, you are still going to rely on some extremely questionable "proof" to bolster your position. This must surely show you don't have anything better.

would you care to either cite your alleged sources or stfu?

Anyone who has been to Israel can plainly see 300-700 year old stone Arab houses (the ones that weren't razed are now fancy professional offices!) and even older public buildings. How can you even deceive yourselves?
