A jury found her guilty on nine charges of perjury and criminal conspiracy. She was charged for leaking secret grand jury documents to the news media in an effort to discredit a political rival, the prosecutor Frank Fina, and then lying to cover it up. Her own words convicted her “‘This is war,’ the defendant’s words,” said the lead prosecutor, Kevin Steele when referencing an email written by Kane. “Wars have casualties. Wars leave scars.” Vengeance had a walk about for a short time with her as she gave herself over to evil intent.

Political corruption really should have a harsh, almost draconian, sentence attached to it, just out of principle. I'd be okay with automatic life at hard labor at a penal colony.

When they know better they should not be let off lightly. It egregious for any person in a position of authority to do such things.
