The bones of a woolly mammoth that roamed the earth at least 10,000 years ago have been discovered in Russia. The well preserved remains were found by locals in the shallows of a north Siberian lake. As well as bones, scientists discovered pieces of skin and soft tissue that had survived in the permafrost. They are still searching the site for more bones.

In recent years, due to the global climate emergency, similar discoveries in Siberia have become more common, as rising temperatures have caused the permafrost in the region to melt. A prehistoric puppy, which is believed to be 18,000 years old, is among the remains to be found in the last few years. Scientist from a local museum said, it was unusual to find so many bones belonging to a single species and to know where they came from. To them, as long as there are soft tissues left, it is valuable material to study.

If they are ever going to be able to bring extinct species back, the Mammoth is probably one of the better contenders. They just need to find viable genes/DNA and hope that existing elephant surrogates would work.

Dinosaurs can be recreated next century using reverse engineering from birds . You need super advanced computers to find which genes to reactivate
Mammoths are much easier with advances in genes abs computers

The remains of woolly rhinos have been found in disparate areas of the Himalayas. When India crashed the party in Asia, they left a lot of stuff stranded in new neighborhoods.
