You may be free to run your mouth, but there is an unspecified responsibility to at least make an effort at not spreading falsehoods knowingly, especially for the purpose of causing conflict. If you do not believe in prevention and plan for the future, and simply live the now, that is your problem. My entire life has been about planning the future so that I cope with what is coming and make sure that it doesn't hurt me (as much as possible).

Having said that, you are forgetting that farmers are already (NOW) hurting. They have less people to till the fields (because they can't find the workers that are willing to do the hard work) and are having problems selling their crops because the tariffs have made their normal customers (like China) look elsewhere for buying the products (China is now dealing with Brazil for soybeans).

As such, your post is wrong either way.
