My boy loved fried chicken bones. Even when he was feeble and didn't want to eat anything, he devoured those. The myth of dogs cannot eat human foods is stupid. Times back there were "dog foods"...."cat foods" and such. Pet food companies will tell you that human food is bad for pets (be careful, they are full with poison.). All you need to do is look at their natural habitat. When I cook for my boy real food how does that harm him?

I am so sorry for this tragic loss. Please be extra kind to your cat who has lost its companion as well. Be mindful of grief.

A year ago we lost a cat to cancer. The remaining cat grieved herself to death in a week.

Man, I'm so sorry to hear that. The hardest decision I've ever had to make was putting my first dog down. I was an emotional wreck for about three weeks. He was a wonderful wonderful animal.

We knew he was dying. He had hip dysplasia and a failing kidney. So we took him to all his favorite spots the last few days of his life. We had him put down in our house. We wanted him to pass where he was comfortable and surrounded by loved ones.

We did get another dog a few years later. The hardest part was going through the puppy phase! Man, I forgot how hard that was. But she's priceless. I'm about to take her for her morning walk through the Florida summer swamp!
