Oregon passed a universal background check,law in August.....and of course even though it is still being worked out...once it is fully operational...it would not have stopped the mass shoooting...or any future mass shootings.....

and the major point.......to make it work...you need to register all guns....otherwise there is no way to enforce it......

and police departments.....now have to devote manpower and man hours to background checks for law abiding, non problem citizens......

amd gun stores....many will not agree to do background checks becuse they are a hassle and time consumimg...

None of these gun grabber laws/restrictions are designed to inhibit the criminal use of guns.

IT is only designed to harass gun owners and discourage the purchase of guns by law abiding citizens.

Anytime there is a highly publicized shooting:

1) Anti-gun activists scream for more restrictions on legal firearms sales to non-prohibited persons.

2) As we learn more about the lunatic who did the shooting and how he acquired his weapon, it becomes obvious the proposed restrictions would not have made any difference.

Which is what gives away the lie of the whole gun grabber argument. If their proposed legal changes would actually stop such shootings, that would be one thing, but since they don't (and never will) the real purpose of disarming the public is well revealed no matter their denials.
