He faces more than just expulsion. If they are charged as a single criminal conspiracy, then he can be charged with any felonies the rest of them are charged with as well, since he will likely be considered part of the conspiracy for aiding them. He obviously had prior knowledge of the plot and was eating them from the beginning.
This also makes you wonder how many people hated the January 6 attack. the attackers on January 6th have a suspiciously detailed layout of the Capitol building, along with the schedules and office locations of various Democrats and never Trump Republicans
If video is correct, he was a part of a conspiracy.

It seems that it was coordinated with that politician.
Yes he can face much more serious consequences than being expelled.
