Apparently this is being encouraged/accepted by all companies. Also, delivery man had gloves on, said people who answered their doors also all had gloves on, no games being played. Said their orders have tripled or more. Slower delivery times.

Also, got some take-out, Chinese Food (is that racist to say nowadays?). All seats in restaurant upside down as we have a shutdown in Ontario of eating in. Take out and delivery only. Get your food when done and exit immediately.

I'm doing my part for this economy. I'm going to try to be as normal as possible. Unless I catch this, life is between the Lord and I and I'm not going to relinquish it to fear.

I can't even remember, literally, when I had to sign for a delivery. That was like the Pony Express daze.

The local restaurant in my little town (at least the one I saw, maybe all of them) was also doing take-out only. They say they have to do it for two weeks, so this week and next week..

Kwik-Trip is our equivalent of the 7-Eleven stores they have down south. They shut down the coffee and soft drink dispensers, the doughnut case, the hot roller case for brats, hot dogs, and egg rolls, and the condiment bar. They're still preparing hot food that's in the wrapper.

The one drug store we have in town has locked the front door and is using the drive-through window. They are also a UPS shipping center and I had two Humvee doors that I had to ship to Georgia. One of the ladies that works there unlocked the front door for me, but we decided not to ship those there. The UPS driver would have had to bring a hand truck in there and possibly contaminate the store, so I took them to another authorized shipping center.

The branch bank has shut down temporarily and the main bank is only open at the drive-through. Hardly anyone in the Goodwill store when I went in there this morning. Churches aren't holding services for the next few weeks either, but my wife does office work for one, so she still goes to work.

Walmart and the two dollar stores are doing good business, but Walmart closes from 11 PM until morning. The one gun shop in town is being swamped with buyers. He has a fairly large selection of guns and ammunition and the ammo is getting cleaned out pretty quickly. He's also selling so many firearms and the NICS FBI background check is getting overloaded.

It's his idea of porn. He's already got the forum all sticky with his latest comic-book spread.

What's the deal with guns?

No idea. I guess more people realized they might need them.

Canada is a bit larger geographically than the U.S. but has about 35 million population while the U.S. has about 290 million people. A couple of weeks ago a couple of Fox celebs on the Tucker program couldn't identify the capital of Canada. It's Yellowknife isn't it? My point is that whatever (polite) Canadians think it doesn't mean shit to Americans.

Read on Drudge there is a run on condoms...This could be the next baby boom if they run out!
I was talking about this the other day with a friend.

With everyone sheltering in place, about nine months from now there will be a boom of...Corona Babies!

What's the deal with guns?

Protect your TP stash? I dunno.

Got all I need, ammo too.

Only one left in life I desire is a Colt SAA in 45LC $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

45 Long Colt in a SAA is badass. Doesn't have the recoil of a .44 mag, but it packs a pretty good wallop.

Just an all my life "I need one" thing! I have had the knockoffs, "need" a colt. They start about $2K now. Yes a very nice cartridge to shoot.

Shit. You could have bought up all those Colt SAA pistols for $30 back in the early 60's. My dad used to bring home a box of guns every once in awhile, back then. No idea where he got them from but there was always some old octagonal-barreled Winchester rifles in 32-20, 25-20, and other obsolete calibers. He'd sometimes bring home a box of pistols or a couple M1 carbines.

I bought two pristine 98-k Mausers mail order in 1966 for $15 apiece. The post office delivered them right to the door for about $4 each. Had a friend who bought a couple Lugers for $40 apiece, mail order.

Damn that JFK. If he'd only ducked, there wouldn't have been a GCA of 1968.

I haven't needed a signature in almost 40 years ??? Even my DHL guy has " the spot' and takes a phone snap to/in this day.Back in the day my USPS guy had the key to the side door in my shop. We drank beers together once in a while on weekends

A few years ago I dam near bought a crate of 10 Mosin-Nagants 91/30s for $800 from Buds physical store in Lexington. I thought "nah...those pieces of shit will never appreciate."

Still kicking myself...
