Parents have the right to opt their kid out of any class. Heck if i wanted my kids to never take 1 history class i could have and for what its worth i saw nonneed for history classes as mandatory.

That may be but it would wreck such havoc on schools they would not be sustainable. And that's just ONE problem in modern schooling: parents have been sold the "customer service" model--and the customer is always right. I always say, sure, you can have that. It's called homeschooling.
