Opening arguments in the first criminal trial of Mr. Trump

A former US President being held criminally liable.

And in that miserable and misbegotten sentence, the dainty exposes his all consuming bias.

He doesn’t even grasp that he is wrong.

The former President is being tried. That’s absolutely not the same thing as being held criminally liable. The Dainty always seeks to ignore and override the presumption of innocence.

Moreover, reporters’ and pundits’ accounts don’t support the silly little canard proffered by The Dainty.

"liable" legally answerable.

Zzz.

Well then, really, you shouldn’t lecture on it. Just cease and desist from always doing it, fraud boi.

It isn’t “derailing” of a thread to call-out another posting member’s hypocrisy as a method of disputing his silly claims.

And not isn’t “trolling” to do so, either.

Words have meaning except to you dishonest libturds.

They're here. Happening live as I post this. This is a criminal case of the century, and the century is in it's childhood stage. A former US President being held criminally liable.

WAPO:

“This case is about a criminal conspiracy and a coverup,” prosecutor Matthew Colangelo said. “The defendant Donald Trump orchestrated a criminal scheme to corrupt the 2016 presidential election. Then he covered up that criminal conspiracy and lied in his New York business records over and over and over again.”

Trump is not looking at Colangelo; he is staring straight ahead.

Colangelo is now describing the practice of “catch and kill,” in which The National Enquirer bought stories that were problematic to Trump and then buried them. To be clear, this is not a normal journalistic practice.

I see one juror smiling slightly as Colangelo describes some of the National Enquirer headlines that helped Trump's campaign in 2016, embarrassing campaign opponents including Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. Prosecutors only won the right to talk about those headlines last week. We can see how important they are here today, as they go to what prosecutors say was Trump’s intent: seeking to assist his candidacy by promoting negative stories about others and suppressing those about himself.

One of those catch-and-kill deals involved a story that turned out to be false about Trump fathering a child out of wedlock. A doorman at a Trump building was a key figure in it.

‘This Is Embarrassing’:

Turley Says He Is In ‘Utter Disbelief’ Over Bragg Trial Opening Statements

21 Apr 2024 ~~ Nicole Silverio

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said he is in “utter disbelief” over the opening statements of the trial brought forth by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
Former President Donald Trump arrived at the courthouse Monday to hear opening statements from the prosecution and defense teams over the 34-count indictment accusing him of falsifying business records to cover up an alleged hush money payment to former porn actress Stormy Daniels. It is alleged that Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen paid $130,000 to Daniels to keep an alleged extramarital affair between her and Trump undisclosed ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
“What is clear is in this case, Trump is right,” Turley said. “I mean, this is an embarrassment. I mean, the fact that we are actually talking about this case being presented in a New York courtroom leaves me in utter disbelief. I mean, the arguments today did in fact capture all the problems here. You know, you had this misdemeanor under state law that had run out. This is going back to the 2016 election. And they zapped it back into life by alleging that there was a campaign finance under the federal laws that doesn’t exist. The Department of Justice doesn’t view it this way.”

Commentary:
Is this the future of elections? If the Progressives do not like a candidate or see them as a threat to their candidate, the opposition candidate will be charged with any crime the Progressives decide they are guilty of.

This is all directed by Stalin Playbook Chapter 4. "Show me the man and I'll find you a crime." It's the Democrat-Neo Marxist method.
At this point nothing that comes from the court jester Alvin within this kangaroo court of the Banana Republic of NYC is believable.
I suspecting that in the end after Alvin Bragg loses and the Dem-N.M's will abandon him just like they did Avennati, Willis and Nifomg because they're ugly staind on the party.

Weaponizing the DOJ to paint Trump a political prisoner has simply increased his appeal
