No problem. All California has to do is raise taxes to make up for the lost tax revenue.

I never had a burger there.

I'll be honest with you...

They're not the best burgers I've ever had, but they're very good and the prices have remained reasonable. They're better than all the other fast food offerings, in both quality and value. They do not franchise, and they do not expand beyond the reach of a central warehouse. Snyder says the facility in Texas can reach Tennessee... I would think it could technically reach any state, but I imagine there is some sort of time frame that goes into the calculation. And they have always paid their employees very well.

It is very much a California cultural thing. Surf, sun, cars, that sort of thing. Until a few, most restaurants were drive through and walk-up only. After hype most California ex-pats give it, most people are disappointed at their first encounter, and it doesn't surprise me. But I was in Houston recently and stopped in a store for my first one and years, and if it weren't for the heat and humidity, I could have been in California and back in high school.

Interesting fun fact... on the inside lip of the bottom of their cups there is a bible verse. A different one for sodas and shakes, and different ones for their hamburger wrappers and their fry boats...

Have never had an occasion to patronize that particular business as they are not in New Mexico. But apparently we're on the A-list for that eastward expansion as we are to get one here in Albuquerque in I think 2027. If it's close to us we'll probably try it.

But in all honesty, the only really good fast food burgers here in Albuquerque are What-a-Burger--they also have the best chicken tenders in town--but Blakes Lotaburger, our homegrown chain, does a pretty good job too.

So unless In n Out offers a really good product at an affordable price, we'll probably try them only once.

Does look like California would wise up and start looking for ways to keep these companies though. And even the woke AI info produced by copilot on my computer admits no businesses are looking to relocate to or expand in California. I guess there are some tech companies planning to start up there, but they are probably getting heavy state subsidies to do that and may or may not survive if those subsidies end.

It won't matter. The vampire sucking Dems will go right on vampire sucking everyone dry until that state is utterly destroyed. Take a drive through NY, city after city sucked dry, rotting and falling down.

IN and OUT typically has long lines waiting. A clear sign the product is very good.

I'm curious to try it. But we'll have to wait another couple of years. I guess the closest ones to us are Phoenix or Colorado Springs. And I'm not going to drive that far to satisfy my curiosity. :)

Can't really say In-N-Out is worth a two year wait, out here a 30 minute wait is not uncommon.
