Oops, there goes another one - In N Out

It is very much a California cultural thing. Surf, sun, cars, that sort of thing.

....

Interesting fun fact... on the inside lip of the bottom of their cups there is a bible verse. A different one for sodas and shakes, and different ones for their hamburger wrappers and their fry boats...

Yep, exactly. As someone who grew up in that culture, I used to love In-N-Out... One of the things I liked about it was that owners are Christian, and the bible verse at the bottom edge of the cup, etc.

I no longer go there because I no longer eat meat, but I agree with what you said... The burgers are pretty good, not the best. For me it was more about supporting the company.

In-N-Out burgers are definitely part of the So Cal culture. They never advertise it..but the locals know to order their burgers "animal style". The burgers are greasy, juicy, tasty and affordable. IMO, their fries suck but there is alway a long line. It's easy to go "in", but the going "out" part can require patience. The menu is super simple (unlike other burger joints) just order a double double (animal style)..you won't be disappointed.

It's the toasted bun. Best chain burger I ever found. Pretty much always good.

Maybe messy lunch burgers at St johns non-chain St.Johns in Silicon Valley was better?

At this rate, I don't understand why anyone would want to live in California.

I was across the border in moosup. Between route 6 and route 14

Hell yeah, and if you have the Elektra screen name you're probably into some decent tunes too.

I wouldn't object.

I'd heard of it but that's it.

I live in South Florida where most of the restaurants, especially the Fast Food places SUCK ASS.

Reason being, they make most of their money in 'Season' (vacationers/visitors, sixty-sixers, etc) and they'll eat anything. ANYTHING. And the rent is so high that in the Off-Season, they don't bother with quality. At all.

I have all of them within a mile of me, all the big names, every one of them. And they ALL S.U.C.K. Sometimes you can't tell the difference between the color of the burger and the pickle.

Unless you go at Lunch Time, in which case they only suck a little bit. But they still S.U.C.K. ASS.

We had a Five Guys come in a few years ago. For about a year they were really good. They lead the suckitude now. You can spend $15 and end up throwing it away because it SUCKS so bad. Same with Culver's. Don't get too far away from a bathroom if you eat at the one by us. Micky D's is just poison, Wendy's is hopeless, Booger King is hit and miss, mostly miss.
I see these 2 over doin' some bullshit
We have "The Mission" move in a few years ago and they're trying to hold the line. But they're hardly Fast Food. Spendy.

We had a Caribbean Place open up right by us, Pollo Tropical and they were really interesting for a while. I don't trust them anymore. They had an Adobo Pork sammich that was mouth-watering. Now, the guy you're ordering from can't even speak english and they have no clue what you even want. The fried, sweet plantains ain't bad. If they get the order right.

Point being, we could use an In N Out burger place. I understand their quality is pretty good. Which is why I don't expect to see them down here. Chic Fil-A is good wherever you are in my experience. But if I eat another piece of chicken, I'm gonna lay an egg.

Florida has a lot of good things going for it. But Restaurants ain't one of them.
But do you have a Royal Castle? That blue chicken joint in the hood is very good.
The one with the garlic flour fried chicken.
Can't remember where that was.
It was the hood.

I got my house in moosup, I will work here in California then retire in moosup. It sucks to be under the boot of the democrats but it is where my son lives

You sound like an older dude, I respect that.

I'm married and middle aged so my totally wild days are over.

But yeah, hit me up if you want when you're out here and we can have some drinks and talk politics and music.

I used to go to a different pizza place, but it was nice. They hand-tossed the crusts.
Pretty sure that was on Miracle Mile.
Cozzoli's.
