The problem is, too many people don't seem to care about that. Or maybe they think there's nothing they can do about it so they just accept it? In my view when the public accepts or supports lies and evil, eventually they get the government they deserve. The problem is, everyone ends up suffering, not just those who accepted lies.

Well, sort of. The problem is, the establishment and interlocking directorate owns both parties. And no sane person believes that a third party can win. Any time a candidate starts making progress at expanding the reach of third parties, the establishment infiltrates those parties, and we have the same problem.

It matters little if folks care about this problem, against the power of the interlocking directorate and the monied interests, there isn't a whole lot they can do.

I remember during the early nineties a very rich man got fed up with this situation and decided to run for president. Rumors are, once he started polling to a point where he might actually win, the establishment either black-mailed or threatened him till he pulled out of the race. Later, once he felt safe, he re-entered, but then the public no longer trusted him to follow through.

So. . . the upshot, regardless of who you vote for, they all HAVE to lie, or else they cannot run for office.

I agree with you, as you know I'm always saying that the establishment controls both parties. My point was simply that voters who knowingly accept lies and liars share the blame and end up getting the government they deserve. You're talking about the system overall, which is kinda a different topic. But yeah, I agree especially when it comes to the presidency, that no one gets to the Oval Office without already being in the club. Which is why it's astonishing to me that so many people still trust the system and believe that we have presidents who are true patriots who care about America and the people. Gosh, we sound so cynical, huh. lol But it's the world we live in.
