This man has brought millions to Christ. His messages are usually about 25-30 minutes. I want to dedicate this thread to his messages.
We fight here a lot about whose religion is the best. There's not a lot of camaraderie or affection for one another in a forum that should be over run with it.
This thread is about Jesus. You'll learn something new about the Lord every day. Enjoy.

I am sure that Dr. Billy Graham preached in Halifax, Nova Scotia, more than once but I did actually take my grandmother and several other people to see him around 1980 or perhaps 1981.

So I actually may have been there at that very meeting.

Dr. Billy Graham did an amazing job of standing up against RACISM within the Christian Community, especially in the USA South. He had a lot of courage.

they preferred to stay in the stadium ...

Late in his life, Graham expressed some regret for not having done more. In a 2005 interview, he said, "I think I made a mistake when I didn't go to Selma. I would like to have done more"

that is the bible belt, jim crow the civil rights legislation during that time is geared against w/ few christians on board to bring about actual reform from religious indoctrinated hatred.

Dr. Billy Graham is correct, Hell is real! In all those years when I believed in the "Soul Sleep" false doctrine I was deluding myself.

I became an Atheist after I was taught Darwinian Evolutionary Theory in Grade Four. I wanted to believe in Atheism in order to think that there was No Hell.

By 1990 I learned that the idea of "Hell" is certainly no laughing matter at all!

After I began to study near death experience accounts I had to realize that the Parable of Lazarus and the Rick Man was far more than merely some sort of "figure of speech."

19;There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

20;And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

21;And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

22;And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

23;And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24;And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

25;But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

26;And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

27;Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

28;For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

29;Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

30;And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

31;And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

The near death experience account of former Atheist and near death experiencer Howard Storm is kind of scary and helped me to look at the Parable of Lazarus and the Rich Man differently.

1. About Howard Storm

Before his near-death experience, Howard Storm (www.howardstorm.com) was a Professor of Art at Northern Kentucky University, was not a very pleasant man by his own admission. He was an avowed atheist and was hostile to every form of religion and those who practiced it. He often would use rage to control everyone around him and he didn’t find joy in anything. Anything that wasn’t seen, touched or felt, he had no faith in. He knew with certainty that the material world was the full extent of everything that was. He considered all belief systems associated with religion to be fantasies for people to deceive themselves with. Beyond what science said, there was nothing else. But then on June 1, 1985, at the age of 38, Howard Storm’s had a near-death experience due to a perforation of the stomach and his life was since forever changed. His near-death experience is one of the most profound, if not the most profound, afterlife experience I have ever documented. His life was so immensely changed after his near-death experience, he resigned as a professor and devoted his time attending the United Theological Seminary to become a United Church of Christ minister. Today, Howard Storm is retired and presently happily married to his wife Marcia and was Pastor of the Covington United Church of Christ in Covington, Ohio. During his past time he has maintained his passion for painting but now, unlike in his past, he paints with a God state of mind which raises his paintings to a whole other level. On his website Pastor Storm shares a unique look at his paintings and the effect Jesus Christ has on his daily life and on his paintings. The following is the account of Pastor Howard Storm’s near-death experience reprinted by permission. To read his full testimony, read his outstanding book My Descent Into Death (2005). Storm’s other books include Lessons Learned: A Spiritual Journey (2014), It’s All Love (2014), Befriend God: Life with Jesus (2019), and Following Jesus: The Way, The Truth, and the Life (2024).

My story is very similar but I didn't hear the calling until I was 34. And then it took 16 years of searching to actually find and experience God. With that said, it's easy to backslide and become complacent or lukewarm.
