If the Repubs choose Donny, they might even run Joe again, as better to have a known dumbass to run against the guy that would end our being a representative republic in order to cling to office, destroying the constitution along with it. If people have to choose between ending this 200 year experiment vs 4 more years of slow ol Joe and then have an chance to vote in somebody else, they will take it.
If the Repubs run somebody like DeSantis, the Dems will probably have to run somebody that looks like they might be competent, but frankly, I think that lets Newsom out again, as California don't look too great, unless you have plenty of money.
