With COVID, legacy media has one job and that job is to ensure more, PANIC! The editor of the Atlantic Nick Thompson (thankfully no relation) is an example. He tweeted his own PANIC warning notwithstanding that doctors were reporting mild reactions to omicron:

If the Omicron Variant only causes mild symptoms, then the variant could possibility be good news. If recovering from the Omicron Variant provides immunity to other variants, then it will lead the way to herd immunity without being deadly.

There is a word of caution, for Long COVID’s symptom, chronic fatigue syndrome. Now, this is coming from Icahn Med School, the same place that proved that ivermectin physically attaches to SARS-CoV-2 (though no follow-ups, apparently):

Scar tissue in the lungs can cause that to severe cases. Guy at work was on oxygen for nearly 2 months. Which after healing would leave severe scar tissue. That would still hamper oxygen to the body causing fatigue.
