Listening to one of the many college oldies shows today and came up with this....anyone ever hear it before
..and especially by by Bernadette Castro, today a well known politician and golf buff from N.Y. ....yes that Bernadette Castro of Castro Convertible sofas ads from the 50's!

Rock n roll was a truly awful genre back then. Check out the old Billboard charts from the 1950's and 1960's; you might get down to Number 75 before you get a song that we now consider a 'great oldie', and I doubt anybody has heard of many of the songs or the people and bands who sung and played them. Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, Bill Haley, and Elvis were extreme rarities and exceptional. Many of what are now considered the 'great songs' didn't even make it to the Top 20 or 40 for the year. Even those excruciatingly awful 'Beach Party' movie songs look high quality in comparison to many of the 'hits'
