Okay, Besides Great Border Control, What Campaign Promises Has Trump Managed to Keep?

We need to be training our kids for the jobs of tomorrow, not for their fathers' extinct jobs.

And that is where our education system is badly failing. Very, very badly.

We are becoming a second rate country because of it.
Our industrial age public education system was designed for exactly that training our grandfather's and ancestors to work in the factories.

That's why the first urban public schools were entirely financed by factory owners.

They needed workers who could read and write simple English, and do basic math calculations within understanding of how numbers work.

More importantly, they needed people who were trained to instinctively do as they are told when working in a system that was not designed by them or for them.

The public education that existed during the agricultural age, in which the farmers who lived near a town would pool their money to pay a teacher to make their kids literate enough to read the bible and the farmer's almanac and give them a social time with other children during the winter time when they were not needed on the farm, was not as suitable for educating future factory workers.

The most important difference is that it did not provide a daycare service. Farm families would never need that. Their kids could come and go on the farm, always had parents nearby and were taught to take care of themselves from a young age.

The factory owners needed their workers to focus on the machinery while their children were taken care by professionals.

Later, those owners influenced politicians to start using tax dollars to pay for the school that the factory owners wanted.

Those in charge no longer need children to be prepared for factory work. The need for babysitting during the typical work week is still there, and that is the primary purpose of public schools and what public school is still actually good at.

I say that as a public school teacher, in what I consider to be a high quality school district. What I describe above is what I see. it is not just theoretical.

He promised to revoke student visas of ant-american protesters, pretending to be here to study.

Well, those in charge no longer need 4 children to be prepared for factory work. The need for babysitting during the typical work week is still there, and that is the primary purpose of public schools and what public school is still actually good at.

At our country's founding, 98 percent of Americans were agriculture workers. They lived on a subsistence level, barely able to feed themselves.

Today, only 2 percent of Americans are in agriculture and we are feeding the world.

Imagine how stupid/evil a politician would sound if he promised, "I'm going to bring back all those lost farming jobs!" Imagine how ignorant and gullible the voters would have to be to fall for that idiocy.

Just so with assholes who claim, "I'm going to bring back all those lost coal and manufacturing jobs!" And the people who fall for that are ignorant and gullible.

There are a lot less manufacturing jobs thanks to technology, yet we are making more stuff than ever before. The credulous rubes don't even know that we are making more stuff than ever.

We are doing a shitty job of preparing our kids for the jobs of tomorrow.

Take a look at these two photos. The first is from a car manufacturing plant in the 1970s. The second is a current plant. Take note of the number of workers in each.

And I truly hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that problem is just going to get worse. Elon has openly stated that a number of times.

People need to wake up and understand that most of the billionaires who fund Trump are technocrats. Technocracy is a WEF / globalist agenda. THAT is what people should be concerned about, not these ridiculous wars based on lies.

Same things said about the ATM. It will kill the Country! All those bank tellers lost jobs! The errors.

I've never had an error at ATM. I go inside maybe twice a year?

Those robots shown are probably the welding area?

Someone has to design, prototype, test, qualify, sell,, market, ship, install, maintain, charge, power, upgrade, repair, monitor, retrofit and replace all those robots. That is a high paying job. Not turning a wrench for $10/hr is a plus. Each robot has thousands of integrated circuits driving it. The ICs' have to be designed and built also. Tested shipped , installed the whole kit & kaboodal.

As poorly taughtv as the US HS kids are apparently? We are in deep trouble keeping up with Asian science majors. They moved into Silicon Valley like cockroaches since the late 90s'. CA of course encouraged it, at the expense of the White men who created the Valley companies in the late 60s' & 70s' Jack Kilby at TX INST with first semiconductor in 1957? Intel, Fairchild, National Signetics took off.

ChristisKing You need to Filter the noise of the left and their trolls.

They excell in BS. They post Lies everyday. Always on the attack.

Its LOOK WHAT TRUMP DID...We are ALL GOING TO DIE...IRAN IS WINNING

Its ALL BS.

Ask them WHAT HAVE THEY DONE? If elected what will they do..

Here lets look at what they do.

1. To end the Ukrainian war (I think) the day after he came back into office. (Never happened as it's still going on.)
2. Lock up Hillary Clinton for her collaboration with Russia during the election. (Never happened)
3. To shrink the national debt. (Still hasn't happened to my knowledge.)
4. Lower inflation. (started happening before the war I'll give you that much)
5. Keep men out of women's sports. (It has worked a little bit but not completely same with the restrooms and locker rooms)
These are just a few of them that has come to mind from my memory. However, I don't agree with the liberals anymore that he broke the no new wars promise because the war with Iran has been ongoing and Trump's been trying to stop it.
Google/Bing/Copilot work very well...

I'll be the first to admit that he has closed the border and completely restricted the flow of illegals.

But. . . from the point of view of a global agenda? That makes little difference now. That is like closing the barn door after the horse has already bolted.

It means nothing unless he deports every last person that came in illegally during the Biden years. And he won't. In fact, he has increased the number of H1-Bs to push down salaries for Americans.

And one more thing. That also goes with another thing that Trump promised that he couldn't deliver about deporting every single illegal alien out of this country. It's just impossible!! Still, he did good job with illegal deportation at least.

Yep. I don't even consider mass deportations to be a kept promise, because he has openly talked about letting the illegals that are "needed" stay and has talked about a pathway to legal status... and he no longer even pretends with the previous "tough on illegal immigration" act.

And then there's this:

While I agree with him that we should be more concerned about the illegals who murder people, this isn't the Trump I voted for.

Nope. Not even close.

Bullshark!!

Mass deportations, which is the only appropriate response to the mass illegal immigration encouraged by the previous administration.

I believe that he has to put America first as exemplified by his controlling the border and getting rid of non americans who illegally came into the united states.

To be honest, those were the campaign promises that I remember him making. what other things did he promise that you feel he has not kept?

"Kissing israel's butt" is not a real thing.Of course. But if you have a specific complaint about trump's dealing with israel, I'll be happy to either agree or disagree.

I explained the unkept campaign promises in post #10 although I think that the shrinking the national debt was Biden's broken campaign promise not Trump's. Mac1958 also hit the nail right on the head in post #50 with broken promises by Trump, and as for kissing Israel's butt, helping them out with the wars is good, but how much time, effort, and money has been spent towards Israel versus the US?

No one in their right minds felt Trump could end the Ukraine war in one day. Like all politicians, he fluffs some things quite a bit.
So, again, why did he promise what he couldn't deliver?

Tell me how to eliminate National debt toots?

I don't know why don't you ask Trump since he was the one who was bragging that he could.

You have a point there, but sometimes they're right. At least it's the way that I see it. They're TOTALLY whacked in the head about the war though.

It cant be done. The fiat system relies on more debt til it implodes.

DOGE has already said as much

I know it can't be done and you know it can't be done, but I don't think that Trump knows. Or he might know now actually.
