But. . . from the point of view of a global agenda? That makes little difference now. That is like closing the barn door after the horse has already bolted.

It means nothing unless he deports every last person that came in illegally during the Biden years. And he won't. In fact, he has increased the number of H1-Bs to push down salaries for Americans.

Trump didn't end the war in Ukraine in 15 months, much less 24 hours.

Trump didn't bring inflation down. He's increasing it.

Trump didn't bring grocery prices down. He's increasing them.

Trump never did repeal Obamacare, much less replace it.

Trump didn't bring health care costs down. They are higher than ever.

Trump said he was going to deport violent criminals, and everyone was on board with that. Instead, he snatched a LEGAL immigrant off the street for writing an article he didn't like. He had ICE bushwacking immigrants in our courthouses who are trying to DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY to be here LEGALLY.

And he murdered two American citizens in the street, fulfilling his prophecy that he could do so and not lose any of his supporters.

My company is a high tech company. Whenever we have a job opening, no one is beating down our door. We have had some positions open for over a year.

It's a sad fact America is seriously lacking in people with real technical talent. There is a lot of gray hair in our production and service facilities, and that concerns me a great deal.

We had one kid in his 20s who was a brilliant engineer. Then one day he decided he was leaving to pursue a career in snowboarding. I kid you not.

As a result, we have had to hire a lot of H1-B workers.

We have had Americans training foreigners for years to do their jobs, only for the companies to turn around and give those jobs to the folks the Americans trained. Simply reverse the process.

I asked another Trump supporter this question last night and I'm still waiting for an answer. I think that we now have excellent border control (and great job with ICE and the deportation) and Trump is doing a pretty good job with Iran, but besides that and kissing Israel's butt (a little help is good but he's gone WAYYY overboard for them) for the whole entire time that he's been in office so far instead of putting America first like he promised, what all has he managed to accomplish so far since being in office? I'll wait.


PS. I know that he signed an awful lot of stuff too but I'm talking about campaign promises kept for this thread.

Mass deportations, which is the only appropriate response to the mass illegal immigration encouraged by the previous administration.

I believe that he has to put America first as exemplified by his controlling the border and getting rid of non americans who illegally came into the united states.

To be honest, those were the campaign promises that I remember him making. what other things did he promise that you feel he has not kept?

There are not enough Americans who have the know-how to be trained. They do not have the educational background.

This is why I get so angry when I hear this "I will bring back our manufacturing jobs" horseshit promise.

Those jobs have been automated out of existence, and are never coming back. The people who make that promise are either stupid or evil.

We need to be training our kids for the jobs of tomorrow, not for their fathers' extinct jobs.

And that is where our education system is badly failing. Very, very badly.
