OK admit it, you like Van Halen!

I was working out yesterday and 'Panama' came on. I forgot how cool this song is and how good IMHO Van Halen was!

Yes. I admit it, I do—but only the David Lee Roth Van Halen. I never could stand Sammy. I'd rather listen to Stryper, which was actually pretty kick ass, in a number of ways.

I really like Van Halen's 80's rock.

But I wish I hadn't see their video for the song Panama.

I loved Van Halen with David Lee Roth, not to much with Sammy Hagar. They actually did do another album with Roth a few years ago, which wasn't bad at all.

I agree about Van Hagar. He actually had the better voice, but there was something about the sound of David Lee Roth's voice and those weird screams he would do, it worked perfect with that group.

David Lee Roth stole the show but all and all Van Halen is cool.

I got to see them in 1982 - Diver Down- Fair Warning tour
up in Richfield Ohio. At that time there was no band firing up that kind of energy - packed house on their feet all night pretty much...Alex's drums sound amazing live too.

I remember the first time I heard EVH play and I liken it to someone hearing Hendrix for the first time.

I really like their early stuff and still listen to it from time to time.

Eddie was a true guitar god.

Well, I used to think they were mediocre hair metal...but nowadays I think they have a couple good songs.

I tend to separate the musicians from the band. I can not like a band as a whole or their songs and still enjoy the talent of the musicians
