So I'm assuming other police on the scene were the ones who took his gun away and escorted him off the property?

Eva Mireles’ husband, a police officer, tried to save her after she was shot at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, according to the director of the state Department of Public Safety, Col. Steven McCraw.

During a Texas Senate hearing Tuesday on the police response to the shooting, McCraw said that Mireles’ husband, Ruben Ruiz, had his gun taken away, was detained and escorted off the scene after he received a call from his wife.

This incident was the most mismanaged piece of crap operation from the word go. Texans deserve better than this.

Their training explicitly says enter immediately & engage the perp, even if alone & sacrificing yourself.
A single cop tries to go in to save his own wife but they detain & disarm him...
and the PC making the calls is a Beta boy & now is on the city council...
it's almost like the cops were instructed to allow the slaughter to take place...
nah, they would never sacrifice lives to further an agenda would they?

So much for the 'good guy with a gun' coming to the rescue.

What other snappy little sayings will the head of the NRA come up with next to save the children?
The bad guys with guns stopped a potential good guy from acting as they allow a slaughter of innocents & somehow you think this proves a point in favor of gun control to take guns from good guys.
That might not be dumbest post of the day but it's good for an honorable mention

No. It proves laPierrie was full of shit and so were all those who repeated that bullshit.

Just because a good guy with a gun can take out a bad guy with a gun is no reason rely on it to save the innocent and to not find way to keep these weapons from crazy fucks like that 18 year old kid.

I guarantee you they were under stern orders to not kill this minority. Makes things too messy when BLM hollers racism and burns your town down
So, they cowered and hid with a far worse outcome but at least no BLM nor Sharpton.

What the government did to the husband, which is take his gun away so he could not help his wife, is what they want to do to all of us.
Isn't that the Texas Government? Abbots Government.

You're full of it, though. It was local, a bad decision made at the top. His feckless order should have been disregarded by the officers with the weapons and shields in that hallway, imo. But hindsight is 20/20....

Now that's just a stupid comment in this context.

I agree 100%, that is one of the dumbest posts I've seen on this board in a while.

That was his fellow officers following bad orders from that crap for brains chief.

Perhaps true, but the victims would have a better chance with a good guy with a gun than they did with a coward with a gun being in charge.

Yeah okay but that's negligence after the fact. Bad guys with good weapons can get the drop on unsuspecting good guys (with or without weapons) just by the element of surprise. An armed security guard is a target.

How long did the guys with the guns and shields wait while how many kids bled to death? They even took the husbands gun and sent him away?

Stupid slogan.
It was the Police themselves that took the gun of another officer, so let me ask you why are you blaming the NRA for the Police Force failure?

It is simple those that did not do their duty should be fired!

So, now you believe us when we start questioning the motives of the police chief?

Welcome to the conspiracy theory cult.
