Of course biden is to blame for the gas shortage

If biden had not gotten rid of the Keystone pipeline we would be in much better shape regarding the gas shortage.
Keystone wasn't gonna carry gas, it was for crude oil. It also was gonna go from Canada to the gulf coast, not the northeastern US.

This thread fails miserably.

it was still another pipeline in the US which put pressure on other countries to increase output.

If biden had not gotten rid of the Keystone pipeline we would be in much better shape regarding the gas shortage.....many of us warned biden would be a disaster for America and truer words were never spoken....from the war raging in Israel to our problems with Russia and the growing menace of China.

The republicans in Congresss need to start shouting its time to enact the 25th amendment....gotta get the senile fool out of there or we will see even worse things happening.

The Keystone xl is strictly for export.

Really dumb.. You'd think they would have learned something about Keystone XL since 2011.

I don't think I'm following you.. If the ppb goes low, US producers get hurt first because we have the highest lift costs in the world.

If you have too much oil on the market Russia, KSA, Kuwait etc will cut production.

Looks like the reprehensible, dishonest right is back to playing this ridiculous, idiotic game – blame everything on ‘Biden,’ just as they blamed everything on ‘Obama.’
And yet Trump is not responsible for anything.

Thank you for confirming exactly what I said. The shortage is not due to the pipeline, the shortage is due to IDIOTS. Prime example. I live in North Carolina, the epicenter of the whole thing. We get all of our gas through Colonial. Big ass hub in Greensboro. Monday morning I filled up, it was time. No line, $2.57 a gallon. Now the pipeline had been shutdown for two days at that point. No panic, normal situation.

Then the news hit, and the call went out, "Do not hoard gas", which might have well said, "Go get all the gas you can store and screw everyone else". Exxon station not a mile from my house. Tuesday morning, long lines and people filling up multiple containers. Tuesday afternoon they are out. They get a delivery Tuesday evening, return to long lines and the whole container filling up bullshit. Wednesday morning, out.

The Exxon station will be the first to be resupplied. It is a contract basis, and the Exxon station agrees to price increases on gas in the storage tanks. The independents, they pay what they pay so they are second on the priority list. Exxon will probably be out till sometime Thursday or Friday. They get their normal delivery, but since everyone had to be a selfish asshole, consumed with panic and greed, the station sold in one evening what they normally sell in two days. Those hoarders are the ones that created the shortage.

If anything, this entire fiasco has revealed the real problem with Trump. It is not that he was dumber than a box of rocks. It is not that he was the absolute worst leader in the history of the country. It is not that he was totally inept, consumed with his own self. The problem is that he perpetuated an unbelievable sense of self-absorbed narcissism to his base. That is not "making America great". It is pushing America down the drain of history, I mean we are flippin circling right now.

The colonial gas shortage will be temporary.

'However---government regulatory restrictions can create shortages that last much longer and are harder to work around. Gas lines like we are seeing in North Carolina today were a common feature of life throughout America during parts of the 1970s. That was not due to hackers or hurricanes but rather bad government policy. Unlike businesses, which have a direct financial incentive to adapt to changed circumstances, government bureaucracy is not exactly known for being quick to update.
Similarly, government restrictions on energy infrastructure such as pipelines not only can make us more vulnerable to attacks on existing infrastructure, but could lead to ongoing shortages of fuel supply. New England, for example, faces recurring issues with its natural gas supply due poor governmental policy.

This isn't just true of pipelines. A whole host of energy projects, increasingly including clean energy projects, are getting bogged down in permitting delays. Environmental reviews under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) was originally expected to only take a year to complete, with the resulting environmental impact statements to be no more than 150 pages. Today the average impact statement is over 600 pages and takes five years to prepare.
It would be going too far to say that NEPA reform or faster state permitting would have prevented the current situation with the Colonial Pipeline. There will always be systemic risks that can't be solved by just building spare capacity. But it does help to highlight an issue that has been simmering for years, but has not received the attention it deserves. The Colonial Pipeline hiccup has reminded us just how important our often-invisible infrastructure is to our daily lives. Even as infrastructure is ostensibly a big priority both for the Biden administration and the Republican opposition, the prospects for a meaningful updating of NEPA remains far from clear. Reforming NEPA and speeding up pipeline approval are never going to be headline-making issues to the degree that a cyber-attack on pipelines certainly is. But they could prove just as important to people's lives.'

It raises the ppb for our domestic producers.

Have you thought this thru? The only way you're going to have cheap gasoline all the time is to nationalize US oil production. Do you want that?

Biden’s Risking U.S. Energy Independence for ‘Unattainable’ Green Goals, Experts SayBiden’s Risking U.S. Energy Independence for ‘Unattainable’ Green Goals, Experts Say | Prescott eNews

Why start with a lie?

"President Joe Biden is willing to throw away America’s energy independence to chase an unattainable goal of having 100 percent renewable energy sources powering the country, according to a group of self-described “climate realists” who say the science doesn’t match the rhetoric."
Darksides hacked several US companies for ransom in 2020.

There is no shortage but you may repeat what yer Lord and Masters in the echo chambers order you to say... The pipelines are back online and operating as of 5:43 PM CST.

Many gas stations are shut down and will continue to be shut down for sometime...even though the pipe line is supposedly running again...will take time to get over the interruption.
The gas is there in tanks, etc. What is missing is the usual distribution system....With the Russian ransomware attack, the computers that track and distribute the fuel is down. But it's coming back up again.
