occupy wall st will have the same effect as tahrir square

All this talk about leftest or rightest revolutions is rather silly.

We've heard it all before.

Most recently from the nutters hanging with the Tea Party folks, before that from the antiwar nutters of the 60s and the radical civil rights nutters of that same period, too.

The media focuses their cameras on the nutters in these movements because they make better press and their goofy prattle about revolutionary change alarms the easily alarmable.

Get a grip, kids.

Oh fuck off...

The left has been spewing violent "communist revolution" with EXTREMIST language for the last year...

Everyday there is some extremist such as Cynthia McKenney, Van Jones, Shelia Jackson etc spewing violent "communist revolution" nonsense.

EVERY FUCKING DAY they talk violent rhetoric and you have the audacity to even attempt to assert the TEA party is violent or is calling for a revolution?

The New Left or who morons believe the democrats actually are - are total communists who want to kill white people and have a government dictated economy...

These motherfuckers advocate a malicious destruction of the capitalist model.

can't wait for heads to literally start rolling

If this movement goes violent--I will be pointing my finger right at Barack Obama--who has incited them--with his continual attacks on Wall Street--and his class warfare rhetoric.

Baaa. Baaa. Baaabama.
Better add the UNIONS into the mix...they are getting into the act now:

Unions endorse, will join Occupy Wall Street protests

Now it's going to get violent.

I feel this is the beginning of the mobocracy... we'll when it will become very apparent

As a NY I have already felt it and recognized it, but now everybody will see

Will those who bring it and those who live in it, who are essentially one in the same ever regret it? I doubt for a long long time...

I didn't live during Vietnam so I could be wrong... b

Yep... all peace loving and shit.

Not to mention intellectually independent.

Ahh yes..the unions. Oh boy. Unpopular and shrinking. This sit in is an opportunity to for unions to place themselves back in the spotlight.
Unions are simply looking for attention.

If only we could get some of the protesters names...
Then find who their parents work for...and fire the parents..
Then say to the kids...How do you like corporations now jerky?

The problem is, we are all part of the Wall Street hypocrisy.

It is unfortunate that we have this casino at the center of our economy, but we've all put our chips on the table if we have any kind of stocks, holdings, 401K, IRA's or anything like that.

So a few malcontents doing demonstrations is going to accomplish, what, exactly? This is been going on for a couple weeks now, I'm still not sure what they want.

That Tahir Square bunch was clear on what they wanted. Mubarak Gone.

The PROBLEM is that, instead of learning about investing, people trusted the annuity salesman to tell them when and how to move their money around. He didn't. Not his job.

how did the average home owner cause the real estate bubble? How did the average person now out of work cause the mass layoffs caused by criminal actions of wall st?

average home owners borrowed what they couldn't pay back.

nope, the "average" can and did pay it back until wall st & speculators caused the value of their house to go from 200k to 50k overnight. At that point its asinine to pay back a mortgage on something that now costs more than its worth.

That is patently ridiculous. I married in the late 60s. You could build a house and it would double in value in 3 years. A lot of people built and sold 3 houses, and had the 4th one paid for. But that isn't the point. If you make a pledge to pay money back then you should pay it back even if you did something stupid in the process. People became gluttons. They had to have the biggest and the best the first time around. They weren't willing to start small and work their way up like we did in the 60s.

This is not a new concept. You buy a new car and the minute you drive it off the lot it has depreciated about a fourth of what you paid. But you still pay even though it is worth less every year.

Whatever. You should be whining about the politicians who voted for them, not the corporations who took them.

The corporations who took them also pulled the strings of the politicians who voted for them, which is why they voted for them in the first place.

Yeah like GE, Bowing, labor unions etc...

Some corporations and organizations are living on cloud 9 while others are fucked and are forced to pay for those living on cloud 9.

The new left tax policy is "play ball with us and support us and our unions or we will fuck you in the ass."

Progressives hand out tax exemptions to their crony corporations like water while literally attacking other corporations who go against the establishment...

Well I heard on the radio today that for the first time in many many years, the interest rate on a 30 year mortgage is less than 4%. So for those who do have really good credit, it's a buyer's market!

the average person did nothing to have their home lose value. They paid their mortage but the gambling by banks and speculators caused them to lose 3/4 of their investment

the federal reserve is the biggest enemy the country faces. marines are simply doing their duty by protesting against it

I look at the Federal Reserve like the Wizard of Oz hiding behind the Curtain. About as useful too.

The "average person." Now what the hell is THAT?

IMO, they DID do something, families with an income of $50K bought $200K houses. We were told by banks that you spend for a house what your salary would be in 1 year. So they should have bought a $50K house. Pigs go to the trough. HOGS go to the slaughter!

Marines who have no orders to go in have no business doing so in their capacity as Marines, which is what they are doing in their dress blues. I'm just wondering how long they will spend in the brig for this. A good long while I hope. After all, like it or not the president is STILL their Commander in Chief whether or not they like it. And I think our service men owe it to the American people to be above joining some silly melee!
