Based on his proposed spending for military, Wall and infrastructure, Trump enters office with one of the most ambitious spending plans we've ever seen. Much bigger than Hillary's. And he is handing out the biggest tax cuts ever, which is going to starve government of the revenue Trump needs to pay for his shit. This is to say nothing about the pro-intervention Hawks he is surrounding himself with (see more wars). The result will be massive deficits.

Obama proposed traditional infrastructure spending to counter the recession he was handed, but our special interest congress won't pass traditional infrastructure bills; rather, they load stimulus bills with goodies for the people who own our government.

FYI: Democrats believe that government should generate jobs and economic activity during extreme downturns (when suppliers and consumers are not spending). Democrats believe in running deficits to spur economic activity until the economy starts humming, and then they advocate pulling back on spending and raising taxes to pay off the deficits.

Eisenhower and Nixon were brilliant at this. They were the last Republican centrists who knew how to use government stimulus. And they raised taxes to pay for their shit. It was called "pay as you go". Eisenhower didn't charge future generations for his interstate. He raised taxes and paid for it. Reagan abandoned that when he tripled government spending (mostly in defense) but also handed out massive tax breaks, thus transferring the debt quietly to the next generation. Now all debts get transferred because we don't want to pay for the things government does.

We like corporate subsidies, infrastructure, bailouts and expensive wars, but we don't like to pay for them.

Wait until you see the bill on Trump's military spending and wall - and all the tax goodies he doles out to corporations and the 1%. We are going to see a pretty large increase in spending coupled with a massive revenue shortfall. If you thought Obama's debt was big, you have truly seen nothing yet.
