Even if it doesn't apply to why you are visiting the doctor.

Obamacare will question your sex life | New York Post

Are you sexually active? If so, with one partner, multiple partners or same-sex partners?”

Be ready to answer those questions and more the next time you go to the doctor, whether it’s the dermatologist or the cardiologist and no matter if the questions are unrelated to why you’re seeking medical help. And you can thank the Obama health law.

“This is nasty business,” says New York cardiologist Dr. Adam Budzikowski. He called the sex questions “insensitive, stupid and very intrusive.” He couldn’t think of an occasion when a cardiologist would need such information — but he knows he’ll be pushed to ask for it.

The president’s “reforms” aim to turn doctors into government agents, pressuring them financially to ask questions they consider inappropriate and unnecessary, and to violate their Hippocratic Oath to keep patients’ records confidential.

Embarrassing though it may be, you confide things to a doctor you wouldn’t tell anyone else. But this is entirely different.

Doctors and hospitals who don’t comply with the federal government’s electronic-health-records requirements forgo incentive payments now; starting in 2015, they’ll face financial penalties from Medicare and Medicaid. The Department of Health and Human Services has already paid out over $12.7 billion for these incentives.

You do not have to answer any questions asked by a doctor if you don't want to.

If the doctor does not provide the information he or she simply won't get paid. This is part of the obama regime's effort to identify social behavior and regulate it.

Since payment to the doctor is contingent on the patient providing the information either the doctor will drop the uncooperative patient, or fill in the questionnaire him or herself.

If the government determines that "normal" behavior includes same sex activity, then someone who doesn't will be identified as abnormal and in need of government help.

Did you ever read Plato's Republic? The need for government help to resolve social differences results in absolute tyranny over every aspect of individual lives.

Defunding Obamacare battle half won...

Defunding Battle 'Has Been Won' in the House, 'Just Beginning' in Senate
September 19, 2013 -- House Speaker John Boehner said several times on Thursday that the fight to defund Obamacare "has been won" in the House, but the fight in the Senate "is just beginning."
"We'll deliver a big victory in the House tomorrow, and then this fight will move over to the Senate, where it belongs. I expect my senate colleagues to be up for the battle." A reporter's suggestion that Senate Republicans don't think the continuing resolution is the correct vehicle for defunding Obamacare -- and that Republicans will be blamed for a government shutdown -- produced a flash of temper: "Well, guess what, we're having the fight over here -- we're going to win the fight over here. It's time for them to pick up the mantle and get the job done."

Boehner several times refused to predict what the Senate might do about a continuing resolution that funds all of government except Obamacare. That's the legislation that the House will pass on Friday. On the debate over raising the nation's borrowing limit, Boehner made it clear that Republicans have "no interest in defaulting on our debt. None. We just want to find a way to pay it off. That's why the House will act on a plan that will reduce the deficit and includes pro-growth economic reforms, including the delay of the president's health care law. "There's a common-sense principal here: If we're going to raise the debt ceiling, you should work to reduce the deficit and grow the economy at the same time."

Boehner noted that every major deficit-reduction plan over the last 30 years has been tied to the debt limit. "This time should be no different," he said. He called it troubling the President Obama "has decided to just sit out this debate -- he says he won't engage. You know, most presidents refer to their bipartisan efforts to reduce the deficit as achievements -- the president sees this quote-unquote as 'extortion.' So while the president is happy to negotiate with Vladimir Putin, he won't engage with the Congress on a plan that deals with the deficits that threaten our economy." Boehner said a debt limit increase without any deficit-reduction "just isn't going to cut it."

Our ruling

McCaughey says in "Obamacare will question your sex life" that you can thank the president’s health law for questions about your sexual activity, even if your doctor finds them unnecessary.

She suggests it’s part of Obamacare’s move toward electronic health records. But incentives for electronic health records were part of the Recovery Act, not Obamacare. And they don’t require participating doctors to ask questions about your sex life.

McCaughey frames her concern for patient privacy with an evidence-free attack on Obamacare that veers toward the ridiculous. We call it Pants on Fire.

Why would this be different than the medical care we get today? Doctors always ask about sexual activity at a checkup...there are medical reasons to do so. Duh!
