I don't know where the WSJ got it's base info pay for medical coverage for a single adult male,26 dollars would not touch a privately purchased healthcare plan.

Sure it would, with a $15,000 deductible.

My wife buys her insurance from Wal Mart, it covers only her and it has a 15k deductable and still costs 72 dollars a month.
