yes, spread the wealth. If you factor inflation in, 401K's, wages, we all took a huge step back so the rich could get richer.

Think about the company that cut jobs and wages and then doubled their CEO's pay. It's time that they cut his pay back down to where it was before and spread the other half on us middle class people.

It's not just the CEO. It's the VP's, which can be a dozen in one company, and the guys right below them, then the guys below them. All of their salaries have doubled. That's why they cut our wages!!!

It wasn't because the company couldn't afford to pay us what we were making before.

And it sure wasn't for shareholders. No, the fat cats at the top cut expenses/wages so they could get richer.

And that's why they send our jobs overseas.

The company will continue to look for ways to cut costs and they won't stop short of cutting your wages too. If you are voting for McCain, think about that. Is your job immune from outsourcing or hiring an illegal? Maybe you are even a VP somewhere. When some foreign company buys your firm and they replace you with a guy who's supposedly smarter than you and will work for half? Don't come running to us crying.

How much has the GOP spent on NO BID Government contracts to their buddies like Motorola, Haloburton, AT&T (letting them spy on us), Blackwater and every other Defense Buddy contract?

$10 billion a month goes to socialist Halborton & Blackwater, right? Why isn't that socialism? The Free market sure isn't buying their stuff. My tax dollars fund those companies you GOP hypocrites.

The GOP bankrupted us through socialism, if you mean spending tax dollars on an industry like defense. And lets not forget the $700 billion dollar bailout to the banks.

That's it. There are 2 possibilities... Either they don't know what it is, or they have never experienced it and flat out don't care.

Does anyone have any facts as to how many people move to socialist countries vs/ free countries?

I would bet that there are more people trying to get out of countries like Cuba than trying to get in, but maybe that's just me.

let me ask you question, do you honestly think that rich people shouldn't help the poor simply because they worked for it. middle class work really hard as well, but the government has no problem raising their taxes. poor people work as well.

republicans act as if anyone can rich as long as they work for it. they'll even say a poor man is in his situation because of his doing, and that he doesn't have to poor.

Having wealth is a responsibility. People need to stop being greedy. Why shouldn't a billion pay more taxes? it's not they are going to miss the money.

republicans have no problem when middle class taxes are raised but if their taxes are raised, all hell breaks loose.

It's time for the rich to stop getting a excused from their responsibility. and it's time for them to start contributing to society

If i was a millionaire i would have no problem paying taxes. Taxes could lead to better education which in turn can help others become successful in life

We are. The desire for a fair system that doesn't create a crazy society with a gini coefficient of .99999
