Obama Says He 'Needs" Corzine

To you it wasn't small, you made grand conclusions based upon it, without the necessary backup. You failed. Dammit, Gunny got you there, you lose.

I had nearly zip to do with it.

It was a small observation. What do you think Kath? That you can decide for me whatever I think is big or small in my opinion? Sounds like a Socialist to me. ;)

Seriously though, get a grip. I noticed you backed away from your "Oh I never brought up age" comment when you most certainly did as your first refuge.

Nope, he's Nixon Redux. He'll do whatever it takes to get elected and stay popular at this point. Whenever an issue has popular majority support, he'll take that side. Or if he has to take a side lest he burn a bridge with an entire group that's valuable for him.

Your take is wrong. Obama IS an ideologue, problem for him is, he's not committed to any one idea. Axlerod is, but Emanuel, well he's pragmatic. So Obama is floundering, caught between the two Chicago spinmeisters.

DITTO-- I am disgusted with the American populace. They actually bought into a person who could give a perfectly pronounced speech read from a teleprompter--along with stage lighting & greek columns & called him President! I AM DISGUSTED with the American populace.

This empty suit told them that 5% of this nation aka the over 250K crowd would be able to give 95% of them a tax cut, pay for an additional 1 trillion in his spending plans, pay down the deficit & give them free health care. They believed it, & I am disgusted with them.

]They better "freakin" wake UP!

You don't ever trust a politician or the government, but by God you trust your countrymen!

"When government can give you everything you want, it can also take everything you have"Thomas Jefferson

I'm not sure the rest of the country really can understand the Chicago Way.

Tuesday should be interesting if Corzine loses.

Obama says NJ governor is key to his own agenda - Yahoo! News

Why would Obama say that? Ok, he thinks Corzine is a given. All you liberals feel comfortable with that?

Obama hasn't been a Liberal since he has gotten elected so this comes as no surprise. However, he's not about to choose Christie over Corzine and Corzine supported him so this is no surprise in that aspect either.

This is really a non-issue because we both know that Obama is just saying this to gather votes.

Honestly Annie, no offense, but Ravi seems to be more right that you don't have your own opinion. You just rely on links.

Obama has not been a liberal since he's been elected???????????? Are you out of your freggin mind?????????Bought out the banks with our tax dollar, took over the car dealerships, now wants to take over another 6% in health care, not to mention Cap and tax. Has quadrupled the debt in his first year of being the President. He's not a liberal and has not been one? Then I guess I am Snow White and you are one of the 7 Dwarves.

The one and only reason he wants Cozine in there, is because he knows that if Corzine loses New Jersey, which is 70% democratic, that sends a very strong message to the democratic congress and senate that says to those democrats, that Obama and his policies are not popular and if they stand to close to this guy on any of these issues, their political career is toast. You want to see a liberal congress and senate go moderate watch what happens should Christy win.:lol::lol:

By definition, government takeover is not Liberal. I never said he has never been a Liberal, now you're falsely framing my argument. He was a Liberal when it would make him win. He ran as a Liberal in 2008, he has not been anything since taking office.

Also, if we had a "Liberal Congress" then we would of already had Health Care Reform be done.

If Christie wins, it just means another scumbag is in office. One who owes his political career to Karl Rove and George W. Bush. Do tell me, how are those two Conservative and small Government? I can't figure that out for the life of me. :eusa_eh:

He's committed to the ideas that will make him win. The 2008 election proved that when he made 515 promises.

Yes, and of those 515 promises how many do you think he intends to keep. Obama is an empty vessel, reads telepromters, promises everything and delivers on nothing. Pelosi, Reid, Axlerod, and Emanuel are his coaches, he has no convictions other than a far left one, despices America- his apology tour, lacks the courage to be a strong commander in chief. Even Sarkozy, the French President thinks he too liberal to pal around with. Now he is doing what he does best. CAMPAIGN, because that's all he really knows how to do.

515 promises,mmm, mmm, mmm. :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Well out of those 515:

He's kept 49, Compromised on 14, stalled on 14, Broke 7, 128 are in the works, and 303 have not yet been rated.

Doggie, Obama is as much a leftist as he ever was. However unlike you he is something of a realist. He understands that the minute he tries to shed the disquise of a centrist he's done. He also understands that while Iraq is pretty much a done deal so we can leave in our own good time, such is not the case in Afghanistan he just doesn't know exactly what to do as he finds himself in a postion where the twenty percent kooks that control the Democrat party nomination process will cuss him if he leaves and even more if he doesn't shift half the defense department busget over to funding more of their beloved social programs and yet if repeat of 9/11 happens on his watch he and the Democrats get to kiss their majority good bye for a truly long time.

He is truly between a rock and a hard place. And that is true of a whole plethora of issues.

One of the major problems with Afghanistan is that the Military should be able to get the job done except there is so much corruption and waste. $500+ billion a year and we can't even get our troops the proper weapons and manpower over the last eight years? Something is wrong with this picture.

Government takeover is not liberal?? Are you drunk or doing drugs? What the hell does that mean.

" He was a liberal when it would make him win. Are you telling me that you know he lied to you to get your vote? and that you voted for him knowing this? Because if this is true, you need to tear up your voting card. You voted for a fraud.

We would have already had health care if we had a liberal congress. Hmmmmmmmmmmm, did you happen to see any coverage of the town hall meetings? Did you happen to see any of the tea parties? especially the one with 1 million in Washington D. C? Do you think that this might have slowed those liberals in congress down? And did you also happen to see that the liberal congress submitted a 1990 page bill on health care that will cost this country over 1 trillion dollars to implement? Oh nooooooo, they are not liberals, they just want to take ALL of your money to fund their special needs projects.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Obama does need a Corzine victory, if he doesn't get it, it will look like a referendum on Obama's policies in next year elections. The dems will be taking a hard look on how they vote....or they may be hitting the unemployment line. This race is a biggie, make no mistake about it, Dogbert

You seem to be confusing the definition of what would be Communist/Socialist and Liberal. It would be like me confusing what is a Conservative with a Neo Conservative or a Fascist. That's my point.

As for my voting, I was not yet 18 this past November so I did not vote. At the time however, I did think he was being sincere in running on a Liberal platform. His previous record gave no indication of otherwise. Other than the fact he was from Chicago of course. Now however, he has proved where he stands on the issues and its certainly not the Liberal positions. That's my second point.

Town Hall Meetings and Tea Parties are not a pulse of this country. They are a pulse of a certain group who already voted against Obama. Those people yelling at Town Hall meetings were not out for any sort of debate. They were simply trying to force their ideas down the throats of others. Jefferson was correct on his quote about Democracy to say the least. As for the tea parties, they are a cute concept but the original intention of the tea party of the founding fathers and this one is two different things. We have taxation with representation. If you don't like it? Go to the voting box.

Then we have a certain group of people at these rallies. Though I have a feeling that those people with the "Blood of Tyrants must be spilled to water the tree of liberty" signs while calling Obama a Tyrant may try to make good on their promise. And I'm suppose to say that's this country?

I always thought Bush was a fucktard who couldn't command his way out of a paper bag. However, I never called for his death.

As for those who don't want to see Obama killed and are merely protesting taxes, where are their taxes increases on the federal level? As far as I can see, the people at those rallies taxes are probably going down at the federal level. You can't blame Obama for the state level. Unless you want Obama to step in of course. Which would be an obvious breach in the whole State vs Federal rights that many of those same tea party people preach about. All Obama wanted to do is raise the taxes on the highest % back up to 39%. Which is where it was before Dubya took office.

Also, there was never 1 million in D.C. The only one who came up with that number is Michelle Malkin who later said she was wrong.

Also, this is not a Liberal congress, stop trying to class it as such. I saw this new bill, I'd take the time to read it if I didn't have college classes. I believe such bills could be made simpler to be quite honest.

However, your debating skills need work. You're making false statements, falsely framing my argument, making false generalizations, and all around acting as if your opinion is the supreme word.

I'm saying Obama supporting Corzine is a non-issue really. This is a big race, yes. However, Christie should of never had any problem winning this race in the first place. It wasn't until he opened his mouth that his 20% lead began to fall.

Looks like your reading comprehension skills need work too. I was obviously using the standard set by the website. Pity, it seems you were one of those slips in the crack who got passed through high school.

and I care what Ravi thinks, why?

Don't have to care for her to be seemingly dead-on. I thought she was completely wrong but maybe not so much anymore.

As for this issue, this is no surprise and changes nothing. Barack Obama is trying to gather Corzine votes. So of course he's going to say that the guy is important to his agenda.

Bringing Ravi in as a third party for what your trying to say to Annie is bad form. If you want to say it...just say Dogbert, in your words. Makes you look like you have a set.

Except in this case I was giving Ravi credit for a previous statement. Such an observation was not mine originally. That's all that point was and it caused a shitstorm. :eusa_eh:

Yeah....well still it was bad form on your part, usually you man up, but it didn't look like it in your posts this time....just sayin...

Irrelevant, if Christie was any good of a candidate, Daggert would not even be polling nearly the numbers he is. Christie is about as Conservative as Dr. J is a doctor. When you owe your political career to George W. Bush and Karl Rove, you know you're probably a POS.

Yeah....well still it was bad form on your part, usually you man up, but it didn't look like it in your posts this time....just sayin...

Except I did. I backed up everything I said. I man up on that and throughout this thread as you can read. I've taken everything that Annie, RGS, and Maple here are throwing at me and throwing it right back. And I will continue to do so without complaint. I don't need to hide behind Ravi to make my points, I never have and never will. I'm not afraid to make my opinion known on here, never have and never will.
